Hi CraftingMad
Have been reading with interest! Well done you for being so motivated and making so much progress.
Can I suggest:
https://www.ciao.co.uk pay quite well for reviews in some catagories
also, have you looked at other ways to save money. For instance, I quite often get a magazine subscription for a present, but only when there's a good freebie, which then makes another present - or to go on ebay, then the subscription more than pays for itself.
if you use cosmentics etc - maybe a Vie at Home or Bodyshop party - again, you can get free stuff to use, saving you money, or stuff to flog on ebay if there's nothing you need.
will keep thinking and let you know if anything more occurs
Best of luck

Hi crafting
I love how you're keeping tabs on the 'little' and 'large' money saving you're doing! Its very inspiring and shows how everything adds up.
Have you got any veg started in the garden?
I also take it your crafting area is an oasis of calm and depleting rapidly now that all these cards are being made!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

wow, sounds like he has a bit of a stressful job.
I am a single mum and so I am doing home study around my part time job so I can get a better paid career. Its tough but I am determined!!
Good for you pammy - I'm willing you on - can you feel it?
Hubby is an aircraft engineer so it can get pretty stressful and it does carry a lot of responsibility. If its any consolation he has been training to get to level where he is now for over 22 years and there is always more courses to be done to keep up with all the latest aircraft etc.

Thanks Nikki1520 for your kind words of encouragement and ciao tip. I have also justed signed up with them who also look good.
Also love your idea about magazine subscriptions. I had'nt thought of that and can't wait to hear your other ideas - keep 'em coming gal - all ideas are greatfully received (at this point I would have added a smily but cannot find them!!!)
Thanks everyone - its really spurring me on knowing that people are on my side to lend support, give encouragement and come up with lots of new ideas for me.

Honestly, the number of times I have got a subscription for £12 -£15 and a face cream worth £50-60, which sells for £30-40 on eBay, it's criminal not to take them up on it!!0

Thanks SmlSave,
It helps me to keep motivated and I'm really surprised how all the little things are really starting to add up. I'm glad its helping others too as after all thats what this site is all about is'nt it? :j
Sadly the craft room is anything but a calm place at the moment - I think I've ripped all the tidying apart having made these cards the last few days _ I'm not a tidy crafter (actually I'm not tidy at all - its just no fun!!!!!). I don't think I have even touched the surface of my crafting goodies - I really did have an addiction before my MF lightbulb moment!
I also currently don't have any veg growing in the garden but its on my list to things to do with the kids this weekend to plant some things so we can hopefully get our own little crop before long. I am not known for my greenfingered prowess so will be looking for all the help and advice I can get on this subject -Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.020 -
I'm not renowned for being that green fingered either, but we got quite a lot of edible things from our garden last year. I need to get a lot more stuff potted up and started off too this week.
Try not to under or over water. If using pots like yoghurt pots to start them off, punch some holes in the bottom so there is some drainage. Stuff like lettuces and herbs grow really quickly. I've found courgettes and tomatoes to be really easy.0 -

Morning crafting
I second Michelle that courgettes and tomatos are easy to grow along with most of the salad stuff tooCourgettes do get really big (slug love 'em when they're little thou) and two plants are more than enough for me and DH! I found peas and baby potatoes easy too.
I'd suggest that you just go for it and get some seeds to have a goand remember that we're alway here to help and your libary no doubt has some good gardenign books.
