I think everyone can relate to buying something pretty in a stressful time! When I went down to 4 days involuntarily I managed to buy a sofa
How is the business plan coming?
Hope the family are all doing well in this very stressful time also.7 -
Hi killerpeaty, I feel better now, buying a sofa is much worse 😆
The business plan hasn’t been touched since the start of the week I’m afraid. Dh may have another job opportunity he could possibly start in a few weeks, it’s the builder next door and even less money, I doubt he will say yes but if he does it could cause a bit of a problem setting up at home to make stock for me. I’ll have a chat later with him I think to see where he is at. The family are all good thank you, hopefully all here tonight for a cheese and wine (or tea) evening watching the Derren Brown special later on tv, it’s the most excitement we have had for a long time 😁£5 op made today from personal spending money, just so I can say I’m still a mfw!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
In my defence... I have no defence.
It's good that he's got another job offer though! It's great to have an escape plan if all goes wrong(er). Hope you're enjoying the Derren Brown thing!7 -
Thanks, we did enjoy Derren brown 😁
Busy day today, met best friend for a coffee and a catch up, she’s just been to Filey instead of their usual far flung travels and loved it, so that’s one to put on the list if we get up to York soon. Then spent the afternoon decorating the living room and making jelly for dds boyfriends 30th “party” tomorrow (just my lot and his siblings and dad so our usual two homes still) only met his dad a couple of times, apparently he is coming though which has surprised them! It’s a retro kids party theme, so party rings, sausage rolls and cheese and pineapple hedgehogs 😆Dh took the bmw back to the garage as it’s played up again, £370 😱 second big expense since we got it. I have spent the evening saying I told you so - I can’t help myself, but I guess it’s hard to not get it fixed when your fil has given you the car 🤔 hopefully that’s it sorted as he got a full service, but I’m not over the moon about it, even though dh paid for it with his savings.I thought I might start a little daily good things update, as my diary has not just become less mf lately but rather miserable, so kicking off today :
Good things:
Best friend dropping off a gorgeous bouquet of flowers we admired in the high street from a new florists, pink orchids and roses and blue hydrangea, as she thought I needed cheering up!Half price coffee and tea cake on Boris
Decorating the living room with banners, balloons and party tablecloths - don’t think dd’s boyfriend had the same fuss made when he was younger so it’s nice to do the stuff we all take for granted
Left over cheese and crackers for lunch 😊MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁6 -
Party sounds like it’ll be fab!
How kind of your friend to buy you the flowers 😊
What a pain about the car though!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
