I guess we are a bit ahead here in London, we are in zone 6 so pretty far out but even so it’s getting weird. Ds2’s friend sent him a video of a load of army tanks on the back of huge trucks headed towards the capital yesterday and this morning I read the army is going in 😱
I will be back later with something happy south coast, I’m not sure what yet . I have just bought a kindle book though Derren Browns “happy” which may help with that 😆

Well NG, your dad’s comment did make me smile! But I do wonder, if international supply chains struggle, how much we’ll realise we don’t really like the stuff we grow in this country - we’re all so used to our Asian food and the exotic flavours of ginger, coriander, lemongrass and coconut milk! And that’s not to mention our love of pasta...
Positives:
* you’ve stocked up
* you’ll get to spend lots of quality time with DS2
* you have the Internet and us! 😂Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hi vix, you are right, but I think the biggest shock for my kids will be the lack of eating what you fancy when you fancy it!Thanks for the positives, being on mse couldn’t be a bigger help in times like these. It feels less scary 🙂 I’ve just set up a family WhatsApp group for everyone to stay connected. We will start a group Netflix viewing thingy so we can watch together and we have a corona music playlist going, don’t think you can beat “panic” by the smiths or “staying alive” by the bee gees though. Also able to track my parents stocks of foie gras and quails eggs while they are in isolation 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5

😂😂 you forgot the caviar!
I’d seen a similar playlist - might have to put that on today. If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry, right?!

That’s what I’ve just said to dd Vix! She’s been offered a full time job at the place where she’s been an intern for months, permanent and on a salary of ......zero 😱 she has declined.
In other pants news today, I’ve lost my job, possibly everyone has we are waiting to hear their decision. We are eight days from not being liable for all the redundancies ourselves. Apparently there is not enough money so dh has suggested ds2 leaving unpaid for three months during this period , plus the part time office lady has gone plus the new driver, plus me (all for good except me unless it miraculously gets insanely busy and makes loads!) Can’t suggest more than that really and keep going. Just wish they would get back to him ASAP 🙁 If we go under we will have to sell the factory to pay the redundancies.
I’d be interested how the virus is affecting everyone here so far, I’m going to update a bit everyday on here if anyone’s interested please feel free to ignore 😉 Today all the local shops have been shut to anyone without over 65 ID for the first couple of hours. Ds1’s friend who lives next door to my parents has the virus (unconfirmed) but exactly the symptoms- migraine , temperature and constant cough last night, it’s day two. Plus parents friends young grandson has it. None of us have been near them.Best friend managed to get some gluten free bits for me as great uncle is wheelchair bound with dementia and just about everything you can have wrong with him, took those over to great aunt and met her outside as they are in a tower block (from a distance)! It’s my good deed of the day 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
