I’ve had a fantastic night playing with my new Fitbit watch 😊 bit worried as I don’t like wearing jewellery unless I’m out and about and usually take it all off when I get home, so sleeping in it was a bit odd. Great toy though which might give me the push to lose the last half stone that I’ve not been bothered to shift.
Off tot the shops today while I still want to, squeezing in those coffees and chats while we are still not all Ill. Meeting my aunt today who is adamant she is still off to Venice in a few weeks 😆

What a crazy week, as of next week both ds1 and dd will be working from home. Dd said soho today looked like a scene from the film 21 days later, there is nobody there 😱 Our boss came in today (I wasn’t in) and didn’t bother washing his hands after his tube journey - I mean really!! No mention of what happens when it arrives which can’t be long, somebody has just died in the hospital round the corner to the factory. In slightly better news p@o have come good on our booking for may and said they will still be sailing around Italy apparently, but if we prefer not to go they will refund 50% and transfer 50% to a new future booking until April 2022. We can’t use it for the one already booked in April 2021 though, So we need to decide what to do with it. Next year is our 25th anniversary and the year after is dhs 50th so we should book something really and not let it go to waste 😀
Not sure how the finances are doing as it’s been a mad week, I’m staying in tomorrow to anti bac everything again and will take a look after 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

Yes sc I think we will!Ds1 flew to Amsterdam yesterday for a gig (against our advice) and is now flying back a day early tomorrow as shock horror the gig is cancelled and everything is shut! He’s now a bit concerned he may get put in isolation. Ds2 is insisting I put him in isolation when he gets home. It’s starting to get stressful here 😆 this is the same ds2 who (against my advice!) has gone to a gig in Brixton tonight , that also starts at 11pm when the last train is 12.30. We have raised very stubborn children...
Dad has just been told he’s a getting a full refund on their cruise as he’s 70, only just! Typical preferential pensioner treatment I say 😆 so now we dont need to take them into account I guess when we rebook with our credit.Finances ticking over, not really done anything about mortgages this month although dh is trying to get me as a 50% shareholder of the business (a shell company now for the ownership of the factory) however it looks like the mortgage provider won’t allow it as the terms of the loan were for only him as a shareholder. He’s trying to see if they will agree as I’m his wife rather than an employee or business partner so who knows! If not we will directly pay what would have been my £2k tax free dividend off the commercial mortgage.
Monthly spending budget slightly over so far , £9.42 a day left until 1st April, but we may do it if we are stuck indoors eating tins.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Good news about the cruise refund and transfer too. I'm unsure what is happening with our May holiday, too early to know but I'm prepared for it to be cancelled.I think I'd be better off working my way through the tinned fruit rather than the biscuits we have!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!4

Hope you get the money back Cath. I’m on my first Easter egg today, really bad move! I need to find somewhere to hide the other dozen or so I’ve bought everyone 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Day two of staying in ☹️ Well not staying in actually as I’m going for a walk later or I will go crazy! Last week I booked an Iceland home delivery which is arriving tomorrow, how much there will be who knows. Ds1 arrived back early from Amsterdam last night, with most of his money still 😆Not much to report, the less I’m doing the less I feel like doing and I’m a bit worried I’ll end up a total recluse. Why is it the busier you are the more you squeeze in? Yesterday I accomplished eating an Easter egg and watching old re runs of midsummer murders, it’s like I’ve skipped middle age and gone straight to old age 😂
Onwards and upwards today with a to do list!Get up and dressed (Shouldn’t be on list but feel like it needs to be 😀)
Go for a walk or I will be forced to take off new Fitbit due to the shame of doing a couple of thousand steps a day!Do washing in middle floor basket and ds1 ‘s holiday washing
rearrange freezer to fit shopping in tomorrow
change sheets in our room
clean top floor and mop and spray everywhere again
Think that’s enough to get on with, ironing is not on the list as I need something to look forward to tomorrow !

NG, there is nothing old-age about watching Midsomer Murders - it's my absolute favourite programme!
I often put everyday things like "wash up" on the to-do list, then I can have the satisfaction of crossing them off and seeing my progress (much to BF's amusement)!
You've hit on the exact reason I could never own a Fitbit - I know I sleep badly and do no exercise, I don't need a gadget to keep reminding me of it!!!
Have a good dayMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Haha not so sure about that sc , my kids would disagree! Love a bit of MM though I’ve moved onto Vera today mind 😀 oh did you see McDonald and Dodds that started two weeks ago?, you may like that if you like MM.
As for the Fitbit, it has got me out of the house today so I guess on some level it’s an improvement...
The universe has been good to us today, after forcing dh out for a walk we went past my parents house and spotted mum through the window, she called is in as dad was in the phone to p @ o (he’s been trying for days) so I thought I’d take over his call at the end and cancel our booking. He had already been told no full refund for us but I thought I’d ask again anyway and was told as I had taken over my dads call they could see even though the bookings were not linked that we were together and gave us a full refund! Good luck or what 😁
So the pressure is off to book an extra trip now , we still have a 2021 to pay for anyway and this will cover it, I’m so happy.
Dug out the breadmaker from the shed today (well dh did as I won’t cross the threshold anymore 🕷) and found one bag of strong flour and some out of date yeast, homemade bread is on the way. I’ve dwindling hopes for my Ic@land shop tomorrow as our local town Facebook page has photos of queues outside it today and apparently it’s pretty bare 😱. Since the kitchen has been done I’ve way less freezer space so it will be harder, the kids are pretty low maintenance but meals will be pretty repetitive for a while. The toilet roll situation is good at present though 😊
To do list almost completed, so today has been slightly more energetic 😁MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5
