No spending done yet this week, will pop to Lidl on the way home for a top up shop.

Plans for the rest of the week finances wise are:

Stick to £73.80 budget until May 5th

Both of us try and open current accounts at NatWest for the cashback when switching

    Take back a cardi I bought but don’t need (only £5.50) :o

    That’s it for now :D

We've done a N@twest switch in the last, was pretty straightforward from what I remember.

We are having a frugal May too, hoping for £150 food spends and very minimal fuel as both have full tanks from being filled end of this month. It only needs to last us until the the third week though as we go away. I love coming home from holiday with spare money to overpay!

Was chatting with someone about driving lessons yesterday, I couldn't believe the cost. Still 6.5 years away for us so who knows what they will be by then.

Good to know the switch was straightforward, thanks Cath :) last time I switched to another bank it didn’t go well :o

Driving lessons are dear, but insurance is shocking too, not looking forward to that! At least you have a while longer to save :D

I do but have a feeling that's all the pot will find! I got through early adulthood self funded but would love to be able to help the children with lessons/first car etc.

Hope ww goes well, finding what works for you and being consistent is absolutely key.

Thanks cath, I’m kind of sick of dieting so I’m not really at the moment, just trying to be more aware of what’s i eat and walk a bit more. I’ve given up saying I’ll excercise too as I probably won’t as I don’t like it :rotfl:

Weigh in was ok, I’m four pounds heavier than my lowest ever weight on and off over the last couple of years on WW. Two stones and one pound lighter than my heaviest with a new target of one stone to lose.

A frugal (ish) weekend is in the planning stages, I’ve resisted raiding the holiday fund for a night or two away and so far have booked a meal for dh and I tonight at prezz* using a buy a gift voucher I bought months ago, three courses and a drink each

Tomorrow or Sunday we might go to Hampton court palace, ive never been before and buy a gift have a 21% off code I can use which makes it £37 for 2 I believe. Sunday and Monday nights will be very exciting what with the last line of duty and then game of thrones

Well we didn’t go to Hampton court palace, it’s been sunny but cold and raining on and off, I would rather wait until it’s nice and hot to wander around the gardens there. Instead we went to see endgame at the cinema, three hours long but great and “free” with our passes :money:

New grocery budget starts tomorrow (on the cc that is) target for the last 30 days has been £600 minus the flights to Rome I squeezed out at £143.84 leaving £456.16, £4.99 is left in budget so that’s total spend of £451.17 or £15.03 a day. This happens to be great news as I had already decided to adjust the budget from £20 a day to £15 :D it’s hard work but I’ve struggled more with my misc. budget of £100pm the grocery budget has also included all toiletries.

I’ve made a huge batch of hot salsa to have with healthy home baked nachos - aka flour tortillas cooked in the oven, I’m going to try those tonight. Is anyone else freezing? I refuse to have the heating on in May but it’s sooo cold, think I’ll have a shower to warm up and get my pjs and onesie on soon :snow_laug

We had blankets whilst watching tv last night. The weather is completely different to this time last year.
