    It's a bit late for a list today :o I bought few bits for a BBQ in m&s today, 3 x packs of posh burgers @ £2.

The inlaws came over for an impromptu lunch, not too bad bar fil's casual racism that came as a shock to the boys, unfortunately it' not the first time I've heard it, just makes himself look ignorant and has no respect from his grandchildren which is a shame.

Not sure how much was spent today but i did move from shop to shop to get the best prices :)

That's some list - are you sure you've not confused mortgage-freedom with winning the lottery ;)

Sorry to hear about the casual racism :(

Great list, keep that in mind during the last part of your mortgage free journey.

Your efforts so far are amazing and at least you have the cash to pay for the new door because of that. Is it all systems go again after the expensive Summer coming up?

That's an awesome list! It's always good to have concrete goals / dreams about what to do with the extra money I think. That's how I keep my husband on board with the overpayments anyway, by showing him what sort of houses we'd be able to buy in 5/6/7/10 years time :)

Hi cath and and juliecorn :)

It isn't all systems go after the summer cath - until Xmas probably :rotfl:

I think having a goal to work towards helps juliecorn, even if it may change over time. I think in one of my first posts I said my aim was to but a static caravan, that's not on the list now! It certainly helps persuade less enthusiastic other halves :D

Today will be a test, as I've been browsing on the the P&O website (it's my new replacement for rightmove!) and they have reduced a 7 night cruise to £379 pp, this is incredibly cheap, although not the itinerary we would choose (Hamburg/Amsterdam/Le Havre) its such a bargain and leaves on dhs birthday in September.

    I shan't book it !!!

    SUNDAY :

    * buy yet more wood stain for the wood cabin

    * buy more floor times for log cabin, some got smashed when the van was stolen :(

    * BBQ round two :D need to get some corn from the farm shop as We have eaten all that was in the freezer

    * do all ironing -boo!

Oh dear, I managed to dodge the ironing today :o after a very small amount of sleep last night, all three are out tonight! There seems to be a mass of 18th birthdays in the last few weeks.

    Bought the wood stain £25.98

    Top up shop £9.50 ish

    Petrol £20

B and q cement and tiles etc. £21 ish

Paul mc kenna's 'I can make you thin' app £6.99 :D I'm reading the book again and struggling with WW at weekends - i think the concept of being told what I can eat doesn't work that well for me sometimes. Got to be worth a go - Paul says I can eat what I want but mindfully, that sounds good to me! It includes a bedtime hypnosis routine as you go to sleep, think I be doing that at 1am thanks to the kids :rotfl:

Easier said than done but get some sleep and tell your children to let themselves in. :) Not looking forward to the worry when my son is that age, though. Mrs. K. surprised me by saying she's concerned he'll go out and that she hopes where we live will stop him from doing so when he's that age. I told her there's no chance; didn't stop me. :rotfl:
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

If only it was that easy, I can't stay awake so set various alarms to make sure they get home ok, but when the alarms go off I'm awake for hours. You are right through Alex, I'm sure your ds will find a way wherever he lives :rotfl:

I eventually collected them at just gone 1am, very tired now :o

    MONDAY:

    * go to the place I used to visit - think it was called the gym :D

    * do ironing I avoided yesterday

    * quick tidy and mop

    * research holidays with best friend

    * relax and look at receipes and meal plan- Paul mc Kenna says I can eat what I want as long as I follow his four rules :

    Only eat when hungry

Eat what you fancy not what you think you should eat

Eat slowly and savour every mouthful

    Stop eating when full

Seems like simple common sense, but to be honest many times that doesn't happen - eating lunch quickly at work, eating when reading etc. Go at to,be worth a shot, I feel it works I can cancel WW :D
