    Wow what a storm last night, I thought the constant flashes were the festival in town :eek: either way it was a noisy busy evening with constant traffic at 1am and fighting outside, thank goodness it's only one weekend a year , then we can go back to being boring :D

    I accidentally oredered an Indian takeaway last night, just for dh and I as the kids were all out, shouldn't have done it both diet wise and financially a bit naughty! I actually lost a pound this week, will have to work hard from now on not not regain it.

    SUNDAY:

    * plant the geraniums and runner beans I bought yesterday

    * prep a nice BBQ

    * do research for a three night break in sept for best friend and I :D

    Busy weekend, still lots to do in the log cabin, painting the inside is a very big job! Garden looking nice though, beans and flowers planted and the BBQ went on until 10pm afterwards :eek: Monday best friend asked us for a BBQ too which was quite a relaxed afternoon even though she had about thirty there.

    Money spent this weekend :

    £30 on bits to take to the BBQ
    £40 new trainers for dh
    £68 Tesco alcohol for birthday party in July (discounts and vouchers used)

    £21 plants
    £21.50 Indian takeaway
    £30.99 gas bottle refill

    A pretty spendy weekend :o

    TUESDAY:

    * stick to the diet! This week has been "off piste" :o

    * freezer rummage before work - there is nothing in the fridge except leaves according to ds2 :rotfl:

    * try and remember where the gym is and go :p

    Hope everybody had a good weekend :)

    Late update today while eating lunch at work :D

    Dd had a nasty reaction to an insect bite yesterday so after calling 111 I had to take her for an emergency appointment at hospital late last night, all good though, she just needs antibiotics.

    WEDNESDAY:

    * cinema with aunt

    * check to see when can use cc again

    * check how long pimms is reduced in tesc* for - needs some for birthdays

    Long day at work as I've loads of work in this week, followed by a quick trip home for a shower and then taking my great aunt to see Han Solo at the cinema tonight, tomorrow would have been better but it's free today with the meerkat code and I'm trying to cut costs everywhere I can manage it easily.

    Much needed day at home today, although there are plenty of chores that need doing.

    With so many big things that need paying for its a good time to go a bit oldstyle day to day to help towards costs. June is not too bad but there's still one birthday and a ladies day at the races (coach or mini bus/drink/food/betting).

    Back later with a budget for the month :)

    It's the 1st June already :eek: feels like Xmas was just a few weeks ago :rotfl:

    This months budget has been set, unfortunately here will be no mortgage ops this month :(

    JUNE:

    * new front door and repair front wall £1500

    * birthday present budget left to pay for £330.70

    * cake £220

    * birthday BBQ/party food £100 (booze coming from grocery budget)

    *18th birthday lunch £120

    * holiday with best friend £550

    * hair cut and colour £116

    As expected a month has been tagged on the end of term due to the new door, the other above items have been taken from June as well now which frees up more money monthly as I would have borrowed it and paid it back from the current account.

    Monthly living costs to be covered by the higher amount of £770 pm, we never have anything left usually but I'd like to try and reduce what we spend and be a bit more organised thinking ahead to the end of the year.

    At this point in the year I've usually bought half the xmas presents, I do plan to have a chunk of money coming out in November to cover some of it, but don't think it will help to start buying the odd thing now, ideally to create a surplus each month too :D

    FRIDAY:

    * clean bathrooms/kitchen

    * do all washing/change beds

    * dust/Hoover/mop

    * have friend for lunch and shop from fridge hopefully!

    * relaxing evening alone, everybody is out tonight :)

  • Your level of planning is amazing NG. You are going to have a fabulous June with all those things going on(or are you just paying for them this month?)

    I am home alone :j working my way through some wine but resisting a takeaway :D

    Lovely friend bought me some nice flowers, the house is spotless and I've lit my favourite Yankee candle, simple pleasures!

    Thought I'd use the opportunity to indulge in daydreaming about what fun things we will be able to do when Mf, sometimes I get so caught up in the journey I forget about the end result, I can't of course speak for dh but am fairly sure top of his list is a classic car and a visit to Octoberfest in Germany :rotfl:

    So far I'm come up with :

    * A new kitchen

    * total redecoaration of house

    * 2x minis - classic and new :D

    * Xmas dinner and disco at the Harry Potter studio tour

    * A suite on a nice cruise to the med and one to the fjords

    * A night at the natural history museum "Dino snores" for adults

    * take dh to see prince's home paisley park (maybe via Graceland!)

    * visit Versailles

    * take dh to see Andrea bocelli perform in his home town

    * help the kids out - notice that's at the bottom of the list :p

    I'd love to know if any other mfw'ers have any good ideas I can steal :D
