Very tired today, collected ds2 from the station at 11.45 last night (football again) and will be doing the same tonight.
I did however manage to squeeze a whole day's work in today due to an early start, followed by 2x films this afternoon and this eveningnerve and the shallows this time, ds2 had 2x meerkat tickets for free and I used my pass - my saving £7.50 and £9 :T
My running total since Sunday is £25.50 , I did say I would make it pay :rotfl: I did spend some of the kids £50 treat money though and bought us both a cheeky burger and chips in the break between the two.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Two films in one day?! I think you'll definitely get your use out of the pass. What are the meerkat tickets? We have a fairly local independent cinema, I do think about taking my son to see a film occasionally but it does seem expensive to effectively watch a TV which we could do at my parents' house.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200

Buy an insurance policy for a one night uk holiday for yourself through compare the market .com and you can get a bogof code each week to use once for one free ticket to a film on an ties or weds, works at Vue and Cineworld, not sure what other cinemas but not independents I should think.
Cinema is a much better experience than watching tv at your parents! I can guarantee that as I have done both many times (at my parents Of course)
Should have said ins policy should not cost over £2 or so.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
:rotfl: I have been to a cinema before though it was many years ago. My son is curious about going to the cinema as he's heard other children talk about it at school.2018 totals:

I couldn't watch some of the height stuff in nerve!
Horrid day today, went to the doctor re the rib pain I've had for weeks (thought I'd pulled a muscle or something) and he said i need an ultrasound to look at my liver and gall bladder. I am such a wuss I am already guessing what fatal thing is wrong with me
Also I had a letter from the bank, I have accidentally transfered too much money , about £280 out of the account so two bills bounced and there is an £80 charge plus the £280 has been swallowed up as it was around the time I was transfering stuff from my parents and to the kids from them etc. No idea how I managed that what an idiot. Halifax have refunded the £80 so it's not all bad i suppose.
Sky have upped their bills to £20 from £6 but I have haggled them to £10 so we still have that.
Dd away soon and I promised her a day in London tomorrow which I don't feel like now, the boys are being lazy and grumpy and not tidying up after themselves, I am now not looking forward to going away soon, it just feels like more worry. Oh and work no better.
Other than that all is well :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
NG, I hope everything goes well with the ultrasound. Try not to worry, you don't know that it's anything serious yet though I know it's easier said than done.
Why are you not looking forward to going away or taking your daughter into London tomorrow? If it's the health concern, I understand but if it's because your sons are being lazy and not tidying up, that's their problem, surely?2018 totals:
Savings £11,200

Hi Alex, just feeling sorry for myself! Too tired and not in the mood for London, so we will go another day. It would be a rush anyway as we are going to drive over to college and get her results this morning. It's been late nights waiting to get the kids from th station , early starts for work etc. That's all.
I'm worry about going away now as I don't know what's wrong with me :on I just hope I find out before I go as I am a panic - er! As for the boys being lazy, I shall get them to help today.
Need to sort out the mess I've made of the accounts too.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Newgirly, they'll just be chcking for gallstones causing a problem, which is a pretty common thing. It's connected to liver and stones getting stuck in a duct between the two can cause discomfort (I've had this - it was blocked so much I started to turn yellow!).
Try and reduce fat (especially saturated) from your diet - if it's gallstones then your body trying to process fat can be the thing that's causing the pain - you should feel a lot of relief pretty soon if you change your diet.
Gallbladder probs are one of the most common issues around, especially for women - not sure why we don't hear about it much but probably because it's very easily dealt with and doesn't usually need any extreme treatments or cause urgent problems. But definitely try and reduce fat intake and see if the helps (things like tomatoes - strangely - is also well known for causing discomfort, so watch out for pasta sauces etc). Hope you feel better soon! xxa penny picker upper.
