It's a nice sunny Friday evening and I am desperate to nip into London for a few drinks and a meal! However, I have resisted and found one of my Prezzo meal deal vouchers ( buy a gift 3 courses and a glass of wine for two £20 ) and have booked our local restaurant.
Not quite the same but already paid for so effectively free :T sometimes planning ahead is worth while
I have decided to pretend I am going somewhere posh and have put on the sparkly heels and rollered my hair, although that is kind of obligatory on a Friday night out in Essex :rotfl:
Happy Friday everyoneMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I think the the eating when you are actually hungry is very important, he says real hunger comes on slowly, if you are suddenly starving it's an emotional response.
Probably a fine line between hungry and craving
For some they don't feel hungry but start to get cranky and then the connection clicks in, so sudden onset of feeling hungry because they really are.
Then there are cravings that are genuine as the body needs something and it is trying to tell us.
You can test this by just not eating and keeping an eye on how you feel.
My OH becomes a nut job quite quickly, I just get very slow onset irritable and anything fixes it including a beer.0 -
Oh dear, big shop done at tesco today, £80 ish spent and £25 in petrol, it will be a tight last few days this month, but if I need to buy more I will. Stocked up on "Bombay bad boy" King pot noodles for the boys as they will be at home now revising- don't judge me but they love them  and also some proper food
Also bought a bottle of £3 rose wine which is not too bad, I was supposed to be only going to aldi now but you can't park there on a Saturday (massive queues) so it was either drive out to tesco or go local to waitrose.
We had a nice meal at Prezzo last night, dh bought a drink in the pub next door before and paid a £5 tip so it was a free meal reallymust keep an eye out for more gift voucher offers as its well worth it and I only have one voucher left now.

Where has summer gone
I have bikini on and bbq going and it's freezing :rotfl: I was hoping to get in the hot tub but dh put too much chlorine in so that's not happening now.
The boys are revising and dd is at Thorpe park, dh has just got home from work -again- so it's a nice lazy afternoon
£44.28 now left from the £500 May budget, I feel like it's almost within reach to stick to budget or close to it whch is great. I'm obsessively looking at cheap holiday sites to find some thing really cheap for dh and I to do after the kids exams have ended. Currently jersey flights are really cheap and fly from Southend (£9 ish cheap ) which is not that far away from us, but hotels are dear. Still, looking for breaks is a great form of cheap entertainment for meMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Hi money for dreams, any glimmer of sun is an excuse to get the Barbie on
Thanks GG, didn't think of that will have a look
Poor dd is on the way back for. Thorpe park where Derren Browns ride was closed, she will not be happy!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Try Istanbul I was looking at Nov and it was really good value around then.
skyscanner with everywhere for destination0 -
I was looking for a particular week in June, after exams, either that or the first week in July as long as it's after the 3rd and before the 11th! It's getting awkward due to wanting to be around for various things this summer.
Not much luck on Air Bnb for jersey, very few and they look a bit too much like an old ladies spare room, loads of nice ones in France though. I'm currently checking holiday pirates, there are some incredibly cheap deals crop up, it's just a matter of finding one for less than a week and in the right timeframe.
P and o have a cruise I want but they are not reducing the price which is rather unfair of them, currently £399 pp for a 4 night cruise with an indie cabin- too dear!
Also looking at Scotland, but although flights are cheap by the time you hire a car it's expensive and I don't fancy driving up.
I should probably stop moaning now as there are much worse problems to have than holiday destinations :rotfl:
Plans for Monday:
Meet great aunt, aunt and mum for coffee
Ironing
Washing
Cook a bean chilli for dds vegan boyfriend to keep in freeze
Holiday hunt againMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
