You've inspired me to make a list of 40 things to do in 2016. :)

Hi sueP19 welcome and good luck with the 40 things :D

Is that list done yet Alex ;)

Big shop done today , now officially over budget for the £1000 fro. 1st oct to 31st dec. :( Over by approx £98 I think, however had I not included alcohol in this challenge we would have money left still (lots!) I could have scrimped more but we have a bit extra this month and I don't want to live off bread and chocolate :rotfl: so lots of cheap veg - mr t is doing lots at 39p - a fair bit of ys crumpets/muffins/bread now in the freezer and some salad plus a few treats like mini xmas twiglets :smileyhea

Most presents wrapped , one lost :o although i may have used it as a birthday present earlier in the year.

Dh and dd off to borough market to buy cheese with my little brother tomorrow, could be dangerous as dh loves cheese and its the best stuff there, last year my brother spent £225 on cheese for xmas  I am staying at home to finish the wrapping and do ironing.

Does the market count as a Christmas Market, you could tick another thing off your list! You really have done a lot of the things you wanted to.

I've been really careful with out grocery spends but meals are becoming a bit dull now!

Sadly I am Cinderella today Cath, at home finishing the wrapping and sorting out the house and washing, if I get time later in the week I might try and pop up to winter wonderland.

I know mwc its crazy, but apparently its the best cheese supplier in the country, last year he bought dh a bit of stinky old cheese that when it was opened a puff of blue dust blew everywhere, yuk!

Ok well the short post was fine - typical!

It was the last of the xmas treats today :T:xmastree:,me dd and mum went to see elf at the dominion, I don't like musicals but it was sooooo good I want to go again. We didn't have time for winter wonderland so I can't cross it off the bucket list, I did go the to mini market at lakeside shopping centre recently but as it only had about 10 huts I am not sure if that is cheating.

Financially, I've decided on next years target - 30k which may be bigger than its possible to achieve but its something to try and do. I'm also going to do a quarterly challenge to make sure its all on track as much as possible, so if I fail at the yearly one I may at least succeed at some of the quarterly ones.

We still don't really know if or how much extra dh might get paid next year, I've had a look and as the term is so short and we will be oping quite a lot, £100 pm every month though the term only reduces the term by 1 month. so although I still want to op , it doesn't seem sensible to kill ourselves for the sake of a month or two.

Also a side challenge of saving up a bit would be nice, perhaps for decorating the kids rooms or having a holiday or short break if and when we get extra, you can never have too many challenges on the go. :D
