Awwwwww, sometimes I can't bare the thought of my kids getting older and not wanting to do stuff with me! I just had a great weekend at a flume pool and adventures in the woods etc!!!

For now go for the bribery and corruption! Lol and then when they are older again they come back round apparently!

This is why we took the plunge to re-book cp, at 7 and 4 mine are entertained by muddy walks, bike rides and playing on the park and cooking our dinner in the lodge. Can imagine going with them when older will result in the expectation of meals out, paid activities etc.

Fwiw, I'm going back to cash new girly, always seem to spend slightly more on the stoozing card than I
Pay off and of course it's crept up. Going to be frustrating clearing that instead of the 0% cards but it needs to take priority for us. Hard work balancing everything isn't it.

I've also quickly read that 'shaft your future self' article, it certainly makes you more mindful.

Don't blame you rebooking cath, its great fun there, I hope you got a come back discount £25 :money:

I'm still using the cc for food and petrol , I don't have too much of a problem sticking to those budgets really , its the constant drip spending on everything else, I would like to see some real cash in envelopes again, it makes me feel richer and more in control :D

Dh driving me mad, working 7 days a week, he went to bed gone 11pm then woke me up at 3am getting dressed for work, i asked him not to go so early , he went back to sleep , I lay awake for ages, plus the dog has taken to barking in the night on and off, Its a conspiricy :(

House not very clean as I spent all day washing and ironing , need to follow the flylady thread this week. Also am starting the boots cheap version of slimfast this week, spotted a couple of nice outfits in dorothy perks -a bit sparkly for xmas, tried them on and looked huge :( Have lost about 4 pounds in about 6 weeks but have not been trying at all really, drastic measures needed now.

Not necessarily :D D - My teens are 17 (18 next month ) and 15 (so in Y13 and Y11) - and love CP - and they are happiest spending all day in the pool with a picnic lunch, topped up with a couple of portions of fries and an ice cream once or twice in the week. We usually do one meal out at CP whilst there but they are happy eating in the accommodation in the main :) If not in the pool they are reading/ playing on a tablet (yeay for wifi!) or playing a family game (we usually take a pack of cards and a couple of easy games suitable for all of us, including the 9 & 6 year olds)

Thats lovely greent, I didn't know there was wifi at the pool, we usually go for an hour or two then leave, I noticed the huts last time you could hire for a fortune by the pool with tv's , they looked fun!

Rang the bs yesterday , they spoke to the underwriters who confirmed its a no for the mortgage term extension/switch to repaynent. We don't pass affordability (I sound like a broken record) but the will look at it next july when our deal ends. Balance will be lower then so we may pass- Well no, as even if we pay 30k off in the next few months which we wont we are still only able to borrow enough for a mortgage that costs a couple of hundred a month.

She did say it would help to see a longer run of regular large ops like we have done this year, I don't think it will swing it but I have to try.

This means all my budget re working was for nothing :. Can't really reduce the op for nov. Like planned to start using cash, plus no extra to help pay for xmas, I am reducing the mortgage payment from £1900 to £1835 (still enough to clear 1 month early) if do a regular transfer every month until july it should look ok.

Felt quite fed up last night, had a moan to dh! We are basically living off my 3 day a week low wage whilst dhs money pays only the mortgage and council tax. Flipping building society.

Still onwards and upwards, I will have to make it work and it will be by cost cutting , dh most certainly can't earn more and I don't really want another proper job as well as this one as I'm pretty tired and stressed most of the time anyway.

I think its time to look at ways again of upping my income from home, the surveys, ebaying etc. plus anything else I can think of.Those small money making ways tend to reign in any other spending too a bit, when surveys are that time consuming you do think about the pennies more :)

Oh Newgirly how frustrating. You are making huge payments, have a relatively low ltv? You really are doing everything you can.

Could you have a plan b to cover what excess may be left at the end of the term?

Oh, that's disappointing. But, I admire your attitude, you are just going to get stuck in and do everything you can. A lot of small actions add up over time, so it all helps.

  • I'm really annoyed for you. They can't keep saying no forever. Keep your chin up, you will be mortgage free in the end and you can stick your fingers right up at them in the building society.

Side hussles are the way forward perhaps you could ask your MFW fans for successions. I'll start you off......
