  • Newgirly - I went to a PYO a couple of weeks ago thinking it would be nice to get out (which it was), good pickings (which it was) and MSE … which it was NOT. I was probably naive but the stuff was EXPENSIVE!! Do you have a particular one to which you go?

Off topic but have you seen the film Gone Girl? Brilliant.

Yes, that was a great film :)

Sorry you have a grumpy dh too greent!

Hollyboll its the first time we have had pyo near us, last year they sold pumpkins off the back of a big truck, we returned three times :o they are dearer but they are proper looking harry potter style ones with funny shapes. We are taking a college friend of dd's who has never carved a pumpkin

Up early , washing on, dd dropped at bus pick up point as her oyster needs replacing, jacket spuds in sc for dinner and pancakes cooked for the kids (this is a one off, far too time consuming for the morning!)

I am hoping for a delivery at work today, the boys want lego dimensions for xmas and have agreed to share it, it looks amazing , its age 7-14 but its popular with teens apparently, you can have scooby doo interacting with ghostbusters etc. Quite looking forward to that xmas day! Price checked and got £20 cheaper than most places naturally :D

    Have a good monday :)

Hi Newgirly - I'm intrigued how do you cook jacket potatoes in the slow cooker? Would be very interested in doing that as much lower on electricity costs than using the oven.

Give them a 5min Zap in the microwave and they will take less time.

Same if doing them in the oven get them mostly cooked then in to crisp off on high with no foil.

Mine go in plain and wrapped in foil, they go a more yellow colour and taste very slightly nutty, very nice :D

Noooo, Its a disaster! bought dd tickets to see Benedict cumberbatch :smileyhea in hamlet at a live cinema showing for her 18th. Its this thursday, and so ( I have just remembered) is her college open evening - she is volunteering and the boys are looking round for the first time.

Miles apart and they clash, why is life so cruel :rotfl: we even had the special vip pair of seats in their own private row, and they are special rocking leather armchairs.

Nice £10 meal out last night, not diet friendly though! I've finally paid eric's money into the bank. Will sort out the shuffling tomorrow.

Not enjoying work this week, dh very stressed out again, the 15 min no traffic drive has now grown to one and a half hours, alternative is 2x buses and a tube , which is about £7.50 a day dearer than thr petrol (plus i give lifts), so now finishing work a lot later. Parents meeting at school tonight , college tour tomorrow night, I just want to put on my onesie and watch tv :rotfl:
