Parents are back from greece and have already booked their next holiday and possibly another hol - while my brother is away so i'll have gran to look out for on my own this time :( pretty annoyed they couldn't have booked a different time . I have a feeling they are going to be away a lot from now on.

Dh and dd went to work today, he is opening on a sat morning now, hopefully it will help. We are the only firm in london and essex doing this trade that do open at weekends, our main customers will all be shut but we get the odd walk in.

Budget running very low, £27 left now until the 10th :o the inlaws want to take us out for lunch this weekend for dhs birthday which is nice of them, i'm going to take him for a very cheap dinner or meerkat movie on his birthday tuesday, don't care that i'm running low on cash he deserves a treat. :) I'm looking forward to the new Tom Hardy krays film, I think thats out next week though, plus i guess he should choose :rotfl:

There's free tickets to this film on the freebies forum from show film first. Take a look. Edited the show film first have all gone now :(

I lasted a whole month on £20 when our plumbing went mad. You can do it!

Hi greent , they are going oct and dec. Not sure about lunch with the inlaws, dh didn't ring them, but hopefully today.

Shs they do a spanish white/red and rose in mr t , i can't lie its not the best wine i've ever drunk but the white is ok if on a very strict budget and in desperate need of wine :rotfl: I also have a bottle of red to sample, i will report back later :D Blimey i sound like a raging alcoholic!

Other plans for today or tomorrow are to take the electric van out and visit the garden centre's massive xmas shop that opens this weekend.:xmastree: Its by far the best i've ever been to and is actually busy from august. Temptation i need to avoid is this year's yankee candle advent calendar, bought last year for £25  i have saved the box to refill this year though :money:

Not much bought at the xmas shop, just a few penny sweets for the advent calendars i'm making for my three. I'm having green leatherette boxes made at work then personalised with their names. Amazon do 100 green candy striped sweet bags for about £2 so i can fill with little gifts/sweets every year. I know they are getting older, but who doesn't like advent calendars :D

Lunch with the inlaws ok, they now know about the situation at work too. Its a bit of a weight off telling people moneys tight , its much easier saying no to stuff.

I need to.do some food planning , the shopping budget is tight but we do have lots in the freezer so maybe some cooking up is required today, dh needs a cake for tomorrow too, should i buy him one or bake one ? Poor dh i might have to make it :rotfl:

    Well done ng :)

I always buy birthday cakes (unlike most of my friends) - but I usually bake sweet stuff probably twice a week, so I figure a shop bought and prettily decorated cake (I can bake, but can't decorate!) is all part of the birthday treat! :D
