Money shuffle done :j ive split the extra earned this month to my coffee jar of cash savings i've just started, £100 put by for new blazers if needed this week and £100 extra on top of the £60 extra op on top of the required £1539 normal monthly op. Feeling quite pleased with that this month :D

Cc spending not so great , still on budget but with only £76 left until 10th sept. For food and petrol (petrol looks ok though as eric is quite full still if i get stuck). Dhs birthday done, tesco vintage port on offer, posh crackers and nice cheese, bar of fruit and nut and the premier inn booked for the xmas market.

Dh has not slept for the second night running worrying about work. Meetings started yesterday one went well , one very badly :( the rest are today, but it seems as though it will be make or break in the next couple of months. The irony is dh could earn way more with just a couple of staff if he could find somewhere for the machinery. But he will not let that company go without a fight, its been around 125 years.

Dh has been brilliant this week and is making very hard choices regarding (mostly) people who is very fond of.He is being careful to follow to the letter the correct way to do it. I can't do much now to control the outcome so i'm trying to not get too stressed and stay focused on doing what i need to to keep the family finances going in the right direction.

Anyway , i am escaping from it all today, seeing my best friend and her baby , she has a stepdaughter the same age as my dd so we are taking them to the shopping center for a coffee, the girls can have a shop while we have a catch up. I'm hoping to.see a few xmas bits around, always puts me in a good mood, only 120 sleeps now :santa2:

Work very bad. All meetings not done as we had so many walk in customers it was too busy, one staff member left amicably and will come back and visit , the other two not good. Dh is laying people off, he already knows some are going for redundancy even though it could well tip us into insolvency. If we bring them back within the legal timeframe we will continue to lose £1000'S pm. He is getting lots of advice from the accountant, the goverment and the company that does the human resources for us, most of this should have been done a long time ago, i just hope its not too late now.

Yesterday was not improved by a visit to gran, who insisted on taking her pants down in the living room , luckily it was just me visiting as i think my little brother not have felt too comfortable. Still, she seems quite happy!

Torn between staying home with the kids ive not seen much of all summer and clearing/Cleaning my filthy house, or going to work as we seem to have a rush on and another pair of hands might help so the meetings can get finished.I think i know the answer to this ! I'M just not sure i can handle being there for some of the abuse dh has been getting.

  • Be there for DH. The cleaning can wait and the kids will understand. You are needed this instant at work but when dust settles in a few days spoil the kids with your time :) also I think it 'looks' better.

Also I wouldn't leave people festering got the weekend as they will work themselves up into a frenzy.

A big massive huge good luck sorting things out. You might find that the two that didn't take it well calm down on reflection. It must be hard news to hear.

Having been on the receiving end of a meeting like this on Tuesday I feel the pain of all involved, including you and dh. I'm obviously personally devastated and can understand the anger of your staff. It has to be directed somewhere and unfortunately that's dh at the min. You need to go in to work.

Muser i'm so sorry to hear you are having problems at work , i really hope things improve for you soon. I do understand why the staff are upset cometely. Those whose personal circumstances will be most badly affected have been the most supportive, we are very lucky in many respects.

All meetings done, I did go in until lunchtime and also had my meeting too, hours cut a bit and also spread out over an extra day. :(

Need to work out our finances again and what i can chop out of budget if anything.
