Bummer. Back to plan A?0

Yes indeed! Back to paying it off whilst living on s@d all :rotfl:
This weeks two meal requests are :
Family curry night at our house- my aunt invites herself over to our or my mums house as she lives in suffolk. This time i said i may not join in , she asked if it was due to money ,so i said yes plus im on a diet. She said if its money ill just pay for you. Im sure she means well but it was a bit embarrassing as it was infront of a few people. So ive declined ,made me a veggie curry and bought dh a curry take out meal from aldi for £3.49 for two. (My family will still come to us and get takeout as they want that rather than my cooking!)
Meal request no.2 is my brothers birthday, he wants to go to a cocktail bar then the red dog saloon in london. Ive declined , but so have my aunt and uncle , he doesnt want to go with just him and my parents. Ive explained to my mum why we wont be going and she has offered to pay(well for.my dad to :rotfl:) I alway say no to offers, but dont know if ishould take them upon it.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
If your Mum offered with grace and no strings, I would accept if DH is ok with it.0

No strings al, i might say yes this time. My parents dont really ever offer as i say no which means "i have this proud thing i do" :rotfl: i dont think mum really gets it!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Its a good experiment, if it bites you on the erse then you will decline confidently next time!0

I guess so
Took ds2 round my parents last night to watch football my dad is paying £130pm for sky :eek. Is that even possible , his answer is im getting rid of it , rather than ill haggle. Ive offered again to ring up for him (he is not a doddery old man, just way too busy with his business to bother) plus they can afford it so are not too bothered, frustrating !
This week i renewed a friend at works home insurance for him, he doesnt really use internet to buy stuff or compare prices and lives alone, he remembered the lecture last year after i found out he had renewed over the phone for£450 :eek. I got it down to £98 this year, plus knocked £250 off his car ins and got him to switch to a 0% cc saving £60 pm interest :T he has to make me tea all week to say thanks so its a win win :rotfl:
Budget check up today, i still have all my£30 personal spends and the £129 hudl refund left. Everything else spent! So ive just balanced the books this month by the skin of my teeth , i start next months budget. Sunday i should be ok until then plus its been a month with all three kids birthdays, including dds 18th and our summer break, all budgetted for more or less but always last minute extra expenses come up.
Mortgage min. needed to clear in term £1839 made plus an extra £61
Cc mins made plus an extra £20
Im using the hudl refund to buy ds1 a new mattress/divan depeding on deal, i know a brilliant london online place that does good quality cheap beds we have used before, i sat on his bed after changing it and nearly cut my bum on the springsMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

58.5 % of our total income goes to pay the mortgage and minimum payments on the cc, i just wondered if thats a lot higher or lower than average?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

I've just done a quick calculation and I thought it would be much higher but it looks like our mortgage plus cc is just under 40% of our income.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

30% here. Thought it would be higher.0
