I have had a look at a few payg options but most are either much dearer in cost of texts and calls , or else they have a minimum of topping up £10 every 30 days. The cheapest 3 I can see is £8 pm for less allowances. I currently don't use any internet allowance, although if my phone was a bit better I might but use a bit :D

3 PAYG is just that top up and it last till you spend it

    2p text 3p min.

If you just do calls and text get an old unlocked phone that someone is throwing out.

batteries last for ages, factory reset and add your contacts.

We had a good day yesterday, boys happy with their presents and antman was great :)

I made my first proper monthly payment for a while yesterday £1600 op :j (£1539 normal payment required to clear in term ,plus an extra £61) also op'd the 0%ccs by £20, saved £70 for Xmas and birthdays and £40 for an emergency fund, £30 for holidays and started a "slush fund" in the current account.

I previously did zero sum accounting and there was never anything left, now I'm hoping to trim a lot further and be more organised , so sometimes i have a bit left over , which can go in the slush fund. It will help whilst monitoring the budgets until I know the true figures of what is really spent.

This month (I run from the 9th to the 9th) I've almost spent the entire budget from the "anything else" category, but still should have plenty in the petrol and food budget. That's because it was the kids birthdays and with no birthday savings set aside as I've just started, I used that money to pay for the cinema, cakes etc.

We are still more than likely to be on track though by the looks of it, we are away next week so shouldn't be needing money from any of the budgets except the spending money I have saved if course.

Mahoosive final holiday food shop today, I needed more than I thought :o still should all be on budget though, plus did my holiday petrol fill up and saved over £10 on a tank from Mr t :T

DD on her way back from "the best night of her life" no. 359 :rotfl: secret cinema - the empire strikes back live interactive cinema, she popped into London this morning to get costumes with my brother , over £100 later she was done :eek::eek: she is ebaying it tomorrow morning and will pay my mum back who tried to buy it for her!

In even more exciting news, I tried to shift a tub with what I thought was a dead courgette plant, and their underneath all the mess was a massive beautiful cucumber, I'm taking it on holiday!
