Argh , lost a huge post!

Bless you greent , it was very kind of you to post the shoes :D I've not been on here for days , but I did get some sparkly ones form matalan for just £15 in the end.

Hi pink poppy, you have given me an idea , dd could sell her shoes as they are still on sale in next for £68, they must be worth something :D

We are off to thorpe park today , our last chance to go before the passes run out in a couple of weeks time, I will make lunches to take so it should just be the odd cup of tea for me as I spend A lot of time hanging around as I'm to wussy to go on most of the rides.

We may have to spend out some money unexpectedly this week, one of dh's employees has left so his shares have to be bought back. The company is running on empty so I think we will buy them (£800) they may turn out to be a pointless purchase though as we are in deadlock with another shareholder at the moment , who legally should not own them (very long story) so no chance of any dividends.

I am not sure where the money will come from yet, some juggling is required, I'm not even sure what our plan is yet with the finances , I have not had time to extend the term yet , can't decide what to do and haven't had time to properly work out the best plan.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend, I have been rubbish lately at visiting diaries , sorry :o

Hi alchemilla I've pm'd you speech details as its dh's job and quite unusual :)

Sorry to encourage you to look at shoes greent, not really the point of the mfw thread :p

Well today has been eventful  we managed to be the first family EVER to get completely stuck on the log flume, apparently it's stopped before but they have never had to send out all the managers , staff and ladders to get us off  the kids and dh were fine, I am however the world biggest coward and don't like water (ie. even ponds :o) and heights. We were in seperate logs , so dh and ds2 got stuck uphill for a while and me dd and ds1 got stuck at the bottom of the scary hill up. The worst part was the water backing up and surging over the edges sending me in a panic that the thing was going to plop into the lake below :eek:of course either kids found this hilarious :rotfl:

They got everyone back to the end, but our two logs were trapped in water still that they drained twice but couldn't fully drain so we couldn't get out, finally we climbed over the side with a ladder. The staff were fantastic and very apologetic and friendly. They gave us a free lunch wherever we wanted (Pizza Hut) and 10x fast passes , plus a new special gold pass for the day that jumps even the fast pass , you go in through the exit :T oh, plus 5 x free tickets for another day. So a very nice lot of freebies for us all, the only down side was ds 2 and dd were cold and wanted to go home early , I wasn't happy seen as we normally queue for 3 hours a ride , but I felt a bit better as I gave the gold passes to a group of what looked like students for the last couple of hours of the day and they were over the moon :D

Gosh, sorry that's turned into a bit of an essay!

Dear heavens, the log flume debacle sounds terrifying! You sound like you handled it pretty well, I'd probably have needed therapy after something like that, I'm pretty much allergic to rides, can barely even handle the kiddy ones .:rotfl:

Oops, such a manic week that I've not posted for days :o just busy working and packing for the weekend away, the kids are going to mums for 2 nights , so we have a ton of stuff to take.

I didn't get the whole to do list completed , but did buy a new premium bond, £100 plus £25 winnings added plus an extra £25 to round it up. :D did hair /fake tan etc. so no money spent on pampering.

Hopefully will have time to relax and mooch on mse if there is wifi at the hotel, I've been chasing my tail for the last few weeks and miss everyone :D

We have internet in the hotel but its super slow. I still haven't written my speech yet, I think ill just say a few thanks and leave it at that. Its a bit odd really as in previous years we have known lots of people on these do's,but this year hardly anyone and its quite cliquey. We had a trip out to kings lynn which was nice and and a bogof pub lunch together, plus a walk on the beach this morning collecting shells, we are very lucky the weather has been nice.
