Hope DS is ok. Re: the cinema, can you get unlimited passes? Am sure someone on here had one a long time ago. Could have been tallgirl?
Not sure about the days out, mine like the zoo and parks but are much younger!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Ds seems fine now thanks everyone.
Last night was fantastic :j home at just before 3am but it was VERY hot in there plus at the start of the third most important film the projector broke and we had to wait another 20 mins for them to fix it. Dd tweeted simon pegg and told him the problem and he mentioned it on his twitter , so she was very happy.:D
Today dh has been at home and we have been doing lots of research into ideas for the future of the business as so much is up in the air at the moment, the situation is not good so I am trying to find some positives.
Hi Peonie, we don't have a cinema pass as they are for cine world and its too far from us. I just got 2x free orange sims from their website and topped up with £5 which I switch to use.
Hi cath, I love the zoo too but mine are reluctant now, perhaps that's a good thing as its soooo expensive.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
We are off to thorpe park in the morning, the boys are supposed to be taking a friend each, ds1 's friends mum rang this evening to confirm and ds 2 's friend has not confirmed. He managed to message Him on the Xbox and ask if he would be coming and he said maybe :mad:after a few messages backwards and forwards we are still none the wiser, so ds2 said we will have to leave it then. He doesn't want to ask anyone else so now has no friend at his birthday treat
It's so frustrating, its an expensive day out so you think people would bother to reply in good time or at all. Hmm, rant over !
I had an email from mr t today for 6x of free delivery codes if you spend over £50, worth £6 off your order even if the delivery charge is less, so booked a £3 one and got £3 off my shopping too :T
Time to get some sleep now, not caught up from last night yet.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I am so frustrated with myself, I just checked my groupon vouchers I had for bowling and they ran out yesterday
valid for 6 including a game , what a waste.
After deciding to do a "paying off the mortgage one chunk at a time" challenge , I thought I'd steal the same idea from the Dfw thread and pay it off chunks of 1% of the balance instead of £1000. So now only 100 to pay off instead of 175 , I have knocked 75 off already :rotfl:
I think it will take 3 months ish to pay off each 1% of £1750 , don't even want to work out how long that will take, it's a very long time though.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Another busy weekend. The thorpe park day put went well, only ds1 took a friend in the end ds2's friend never got back to us , I felt a but sorry for him but the three of them were ok together. Not a cheap day out but good value.
5x free entry on the annual passes
1x discounted ticket for friend £24
Pizza Hut buffet x6 £44.96 including drinks
Cup of tea £1.79
Dartford tunnel £4
Petrol £20 ish, we got there very fast this time so less petrol used:D
Yesterday was a big family BBQ at mums which was great and I have lots of sausages leftover in the fridge and a bean salad , so i'm going to use up and make a veggie chilli for me and a sausage pasta bake for dh tonight.
The boys have asked to have a few friends round each on their birthdays, so I have agreed to get d*minoes pizza for them all, it is Bogof if you collect , so I thought it would be a nice treat as we never get pizza takeout and it is their favourite.
Off to the shops to get birthday cards banners for the boys from the card factory, and then lots of hours work for dh today.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Is the twins birthdays tomorrow, and I seem to have ended up with a mini party and I'm not sure how that happened :rotfl: we are up to around 10 now.
They are desperate to see "the worlds end"at the cinema (which me and dd saw last week) But it's a 15 , so not sure what the chances are they will get it really, but did promise to at least try for their birthday.
I need to buy a cake and some nibbles and drinks for them all, still going for the pizza takeout, other than that we are all sorted with banners and presents ready downstairs.:D
Sorry for not keeping up with diaries this week, hope everyone is wellMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Hi skint spice they are 13 today but look no more than that! We left it in the end and I took ds1 to the shops to buy a game with his birthday money whilst ds2 lazed around watching new dvd's. I highly recommend it though:D
It's been manic today , went to mc Donald's for breakfast as a treat and then shops plus mr t for birthday cake sweetsandcrisps, we have 10 kids coming over from 5-9 today , plus I have accidentally booked a holiday
For list was:
Dh very stressed and needs a break
It's a caravan park about 45 mins away in Kent
It was in the sale and cheaper for 5 days than 3
Can go with kids and dh can still commute to work from caravan so he needs no time off ,will comedown later to meet us.
It's sunny and will be fun
Even I'd only part time, its the first time I am taking the kids alone,so feel grown up
It's a "prestige"model and we usually go for basic
Against list:
It starts today, but we can't go until tomorrow due to party
It cost £349 which means no ops this month:o
I have not done the ironing or packed clothes
Need to take all meals really and need to plan recipes and sort food
Not got much money to take
No wifi in caravan, kids may revolt :rotfl:
Only had 2 beds left , someone is on the sofa
I have failed i my plan to not have a summer break and do fun days out only
It's nearly party time, so back later when everything is sorted.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
