Thanks guys that's very kind, I still feel a bit panicky that I booked it though!
The double party went ok, with two pizzas left over that I will take away tomorrow in the cool bag and reheat for lunch.
Meal plan done and partly packed and the only thing I had to cook was a couple of portions of chickpea and spinach curry. We should not have to buy much except bread and perhaps more wine in theory, the kids will have a meal out In the restaurant there and maybe a bag of chips at some point, other than that the challenge is for us to not eat out as that's where the money seems to vanish to when we go away, as a family of 5 it just cost a fortune to eat out even in the cheap places.
It's a contrast for me, I usually research the area , plan days out , spend a week packing and writing long lists and I have done the whole lot today including getting all the food ready, just shows how much time I usually waste.
Thanks to everyone who pops in to have a read and leaves thanks, sorry i have been very bad at keeping up with diaries in the last few weeks, hopefully I can catch up while away if I find the wifi
Time to check the accts to see if there will be any cash left at all this month now I have blown most of itMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Thanks ixia
Arrived at haven allhallows in a mere 35 mins this morning! The caravan is gorgeous all decorated in a seaside theme and brand new. The park is ok, but I have to say a bit disappointing as its a little shabby around the edges in some places.
The kids have a few things to do, but I will try to take them out to canterbury at the weekend so I don't feel as claustrophobic, there is a local animal park I fancy but its over £100 to get in , so no chance
Might try and track down a cinema if we get bored too.
Financially I am doing well, hardly any petrol to get here and a nice homemade dinner of lasagne and salad, plus £7.50 on drinks
Did the accts first thing this morning and shifted £140 over to the council fees pot (for the loft room) so now just £50 short , which I may squeeze from the holiday total spend budget of £160 perhaps.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

We've got a weekend at LEGOLAND then the usual place we go to. ;-)
My kids are doing same as yours - full on slob mode. I've got them booked in at the library for a reading challenge workshop in an hour, then DH is taking the day off tomorrow so we can go out somewhere. I'm bored already, though they are enjoying the hols lots.0 -
The boys will have fun at legoland Michelle, we are doing thorpe park with my aunt and great aunt  in a couple of weeks , and chessington with my friend and her little ones one day. Everything costs so much though so I will cart food and drinks around all day
Mountains of washing done, plus most beds stripped (forgot to shut bedroom doors and cats slept all over them while we were away)
I might start the ironing tonight as there is so much to do and I have lots of work to do for dh as well I the morning. Kids as much help as a chocolate teapot as usual, and to be honest when there is a lot to do its quicker to just get on with it
Lots of financial stuff to look at tonight, the cc we applied for has been approved with a 10k limit and a money transfer (to a current acct) fee of 4% - then 0% for 2 years, so effectively I will transfer £9500 ish of the loft loan from 6.4 % to 2% apr :T
It's a complicated set of things to keep check of though with various end dates/ payments etc. so I will HAVE to stay on the ball.
Oops, forgot to say hi and thanks for popping in greent !MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
