I always find a little chorizo goes a long way - DS thinks there's tons of meat in stuff but really not so much:D

The cake sounds fab, better to get something she'd love than something... well... pink!

Well done on the hair, not brave enough to try that one, you've reminded me to dye mine as it's getting a bit sparkly...

I made the chilli today as yesterday we had a surplus of pasta cooked for the twins tea plus a couple of rashers of bacon so dh had spicy bacon and cheese pasta.

I've had a great day today , me and dd went and used the orange weds code and saw Star Trek for the second time , a perfect afternoon :D we will definatly use it every week while she is off for the summer, its nice doing stuff just the two of us.

Tomorrow it's sports day at the local stadium so I am taking 6 kids there and back , but mine are not in anything as they did not ask  so I shan't bother staying for the day.

Just a little 10p op again.

Argh, I need saving from myself !

I am really tempted to buy some tickets to see Derren Brown's new show in London. They will cost ( for 5) £120 for restricted view super high up steep seats ( not an option as I can't even get up the ladder to the loft:o) and at least £230 for the cheapest not scary seats.
Top price seats are £87 each

It's not fair, I really want to go and would feel very mean not taking the kids as well as they all love him too :(

Please can someone talk me out of it as we really can't afford to go :rotfl:

Derren Brown or a new bed?

    Derren Brown or carpet?

    Derren Brown or bathroom?

    Etc etc etc :D
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I know , I know, thank you everyone. :( don't know what is the matter with me at the moment! Just feeling very tempted even though I know I shouldn't :o

After a chat with dh last last night , who I have to say did not try and stop me , I have come to my senses. He seems to do a lot of live shows, so maybe next time he does a tour we might have a bit money spare and we can go then.

So glad I have my mfw friends to stop me when I feel like a splurge, as I really can't be trusted sometimes :D

Well, I have ended up having a splurge after all now. Due to my useless paperwork management skills I only looked at dd's college forms at the last moment before our parents meeting tonight. It turns out they need payment for a college fee, to be refunded after she finishes in 2 years of £55, plus a donation of £65 , plus deposit for the school bus of £80 with a balance due in 3 months of £400  so £200 has gone on the cc.:( not great.

To cheer myself up I thought i'd list some positives today:

    10p op made
No derren brown tickets bought :p
No alcohol since the weekend ... Trying to give up
Can't think of any others , oh I know ,no heating on if that counts in summer :rotfl:

A good plan of action is needed to get some money in and try to stop putting all the things that need paying over the next few months on the cc. Had a chat with dh about the fact there is lots to pay out and wish I hadn't , he has enough on his plate at the moment without that to worry about too :(

The great news is , after watching the same tent we have on fleabay for the last few months and them not selling (quite expensive model) there is one on there now with 3 days to go at £180 :j so I think the time has come to list ours , its does not include the ground sheet like the one listed but has never been slept in so hopefully will go quite well.

We also have assorted camping toot in the loft which can be listed, and needs clearing out the way :T I will be sad to get rid of the tent , but something has to give.

There is no gold left to sell in our house, dh refuses to sell any of his MASSIVE collection of DVDs and bluerays , not sure what else I can get rid of ? Do people but broken laptops on eBay?

Anyway, I am going to do a full financial plan from now until the end of the year , with the college bus fares included. I don't know why I bother with a yearly plan really , it never gets stuck to!
