On my goodness, I have still not recovered from the decorating :rotfl: sorry Peonie, no chance of doing yours :p

The room looks great, so much brighter :D

I have been online spending on the cc this morning, the budget I did a few days ago will have altered slightly as I bought some stocking fillers for the kids birthdays as well, plus dog food £29 a 5kg bag  £50 off the disneyland balance and a full tank of petrol.

I now have £171 left for the month, for fresh food , meat and pack lunch stuff, plus a bunch of balloons , party food and a cake for dd. Also cake and party food plus 2 theme park tickets so the twins can take a friend each to thorpe park as their birthday treat. I won't be ordering another fruit box as they are a bit pricey for this month.

Don't think £171 will stretch to all that :rotfl: I guess I have to get more creative with what's in the cupboard for the next few weeks.

10p ops made the last few days plus a whopping £1 today :D

I made a nice variation on a 28p casserole from a girl called jack's blog tonight, dh enjoyed it although it was supposed to last two dinners not one!

Dd has had her last exam today, such a relief it is all over. We gave her the video camera tonight that we bought as a well done for all her hard work (she needs one for me of her a levels anyway) and she was VERY surprised and happy. It almost Made me feel a bit guilty really as we really don't buy the kids anything at all anymore except birthdays and Xmas, and she could not believe we had bought it :o

Dh is working again tomorrow , for free naturally. So i think I will be ironing and being lazy for most of the day. I was hopeful that Father's Day we might make it to the cinema but that's Definatly off now due to the tight month we will have, so might have a dig through some of dh's millions of DVDs and have a home movie afternoon for Father's Day instead, we have plenty of chocolate and that's the main thing isn't it ?

I have just realised that is been a week since I asked for the paperwork to be sent to change the mortgage back to repayment and extend the term, still nothing.

But have set up the standing order to our new N&P regular saver (around3%) for £100 pm :j our first ever saving for an emergency fund :o if we can get through the rest of this year without breaking into it it will be a miracle.

    Plan for today is :

Sort out party food for a Father's Day movie afternoon tomorrow
Make rice crispie and cornflake cakes
Cook a nice curry and onion bhajis for tonight
    Make a loaf
    Do all ironing
    Clean all floors/carpets

Hope everyone has a good weekend:D

Thanks fothers and alchemical. I've spent most of the day cooking, batch cooked veggie lasagnes for me and made fish cakes for dh for the first time which he will have later. Also some chocolate cakes and chocolates for Father's Day.

I am still a bit annoyed by the inlaws though who visited this afternoon and quizzed the kids on what they have bought for their dad and where they are taking him tomorrow, I explained we are staying in and have made plans for a few treats. Then mil actually followed dh into the kitchen and gave him £60 to treat himself and the kids on Father's Day as he can't do nothing

Probably meant with the best intentions , but so insulting. Plus she repeatedly asked why we can't go to theirs of we are doing nothing special tomorrow, in front of the kids. Along with telling dd that she has a nice figure like i used to have before I got married.

    And breathe :rotfl:

Now enjoying a glass of wine , after all that I deserve it :p

It sounds like you deserve that glass of wine - you couldn't make up the things relatives say sometimes :rotfl:
