Hi skint spice, I have and quite liked it. They are not the most luxury receipes if that's the right word, but are all healthy, super cheap and mostly from the same basic ingredients so easy. Give some a go :D

Well done skint spice, I made the herb bread rolls and they were like rocks!

Today I have been spending big time :o the new to us hoover my parents gave us a few months ago has packed up again. Last time was Saturday it stopped working and its gone again today. So instead of being mse and letting dh fix it again I have gone out and bought the hoover of my dreams : a pink hetty :smileyheadh will be cross, my dad will be cross (the old one was fine etc) but I done care I love it, it has eyelashes.

So now I need to reduce the bathroom budget from £500 to £400 next month, but I am sure my new hoover is worth it :D

Just reading through has made me think how much easier it would be without needing to buy food! It really is so expensive and neverending. I bought a H3nry the other day and it's fab. A good priced hoover and does a great job!

She is a beauty , but dh was not so keen even though he last used a vacuum in 1998 :rotfl:

Cath I know what you mean about food, when you are on a low budget it's much more fun to try and spend it on other stuff.

Another soggy day in Essex! The upside is at least we didn't book a 1/2 term holiday this year as it would have been a wash out.

Bread maker about to go on, I am making chilli and tomato tagliatelle and home made bead with dippy olive oil and balsamic vinegar for dinner. You can see how bored I am thinking of what to eat for tea already :D

Ops made yesterday £5 :j that's 50 normal days worth :rotfl: today just the usual 10p again.

I've just dropped ds2 at a paintball party, apparently most of them took money for extra paintballs , oops :o all I had was£4 in change in the car , slightly embarrassing.

Now I need to find something to do with ds1 , he is superglued to his Xbox all the time. I thought maybe the natural history museum but after a quick look on the website , there are super long queue warnings for half term. After a particularly long wait outside the science museum last time I don't fancy that really. I have offered to take them to see Star Trek again at the cinema ( i know terribly not mse :p) but I LOVED it! And both have said its pointless seeing it again.:(

That's the extent of my ideas today, I need some inspiration.

Feeling rough with a cold again today, we had the second late night in a row as BIL and family came for a visit. Not sure what to do today, the weather looks good so I might do a very low key BBQ for lunch.

We still have half of the loft cr*p to sort through (it was 80 odd bin bags last time:eek:) and I just keep putting it off but it will have to be done soon as they could start work in a few weeks. We also need the party wall act signing by the neighbours, we have no problems with one side but I'm not 100% about the other side, we will have to wait and see I guess. If it does get held up we will have more time to get money together I suppose.

I feel like I am getting nowhere with the mortgage op's lately, I knew this year would be like this but there are so many things to pay for and I want to spend a bit more on the kids doing things.

Monthly spending on living costs, food , clothes etc. is very low at the moment, and hopefully should mean that once the loft is paid for we can free up extra cash do have fun and get out and about a bit more, that is the thing I have missed most the last few years since starting the diary. Now the kids are getting a bit older we are able to go out on our own sometimes and have a pub lunch out , take them for days out etc. that's the plan anyway :D
