Good luck! Just think of the satisfaction when you achieve it:)

I predict a lot of 'interesting' meals for your family in the next few weeks if your fridge/freezer is anything like ours when we eat down the supplies.

I am staying at home all day today, lots of work to do for dh at the moment plus hopefully time to sort at least some of the house out. The kids bedrooms are shocking with clothes bursting out of every drawer at the moment, I need to have a big clearout of stuff they have grown out of.

Yesterday I did 100 lengths which took 1 hour and used 568 cals according to myf*tnesspal.com , not sure what do do when my day passes from groupon run out though I have been really enjoying swimming and all the council ones are full of school kids during the week.:(

10p ops made the last couple of days, plus I need to check the mortgage balance over the phone to see if it tallys with my figure or not and update the mfw challenge, have not done it in months :o

More swimming again today, feeling quite lively afterwards this time :D

I have just done something very naughty and ordered a dress :o a gorgeous cream 50s one covered in cherries :smileyhea I already bought it in black about 3 years ago and it's my fav dress, plus it was only £22.99 in the sale with free delivery :p

Not sure whether to ignore this item on my £150 challenge for the month as I did sneak it on the cc anyway.

In slightly more mse style I have also :

    Made my own chicken nuggets
Have freezer 17p gigantes plaki - from the girl called jack blog
(Dress excluded) not spent any of the £150 yet
    Dried all washing outside
    Made a 10p op

Ok, have just checked the mfw 2013 and I am listed as could try harder :o I've not updated since feb. Its a really complicated one to work out as my target changed and my total is made up of mortgage op's , loan repayments for the loft room, 0% cc repayments, and savings towards the loft cost.

I thought I had done really badly but it turn out that over the last 3 months we have paid a total of :

    March : £1234.49
    April. :£1247.80
May. :£1274.73 ( after payments got out later this month)

    Total of £3757.02 :D

I honestly have no idea how this had happened, I now I have been pretty frugal with everything lately but it's over half the money coming in the house a month, plus we still have mortgage interest bills and food etc. to pay.

The bad news is I have only just realised that I have not budgeted for the council fees for the loft which is around £350 :( so that still to find as well as the bathroom, bed, carpet and bits and bobs.

The amount we owe would have been less without the £1500 vets I'll earlier on too, oh well we are nearly half way through this super frugal year , roll on next year when I am going to splash out a bit :D

Cheers smlsave, I do feel a bit happier about being broke at the moment now :D
Dh rang the loft guy and he is coming round next week and will give us a firm start date, but it looks to be a little later now, end of June /start of July. So going away will probably not be possible during the holidays :( we have no money to go away don't get me wrong but I was hoping for something to come up, almost getting desperate enough to consider the tent again. :p

I might have a look at last minute caravan breaks for a normal weekend in June, dd's exams finish around then and even cutting it short to 2 nights so the boys don't miss school will be worth it if I can find something cheap and close by.

Just been on the op calculator and its just making me wish my life away - not healthy!

I rang the bs yesterday and the official term left on the mortgage is 9 years exactly ( we are currently IO and only making token ops) this will definatly HAVE to be extended.

The best we can hope for is :

Pay for loft and related expenses this year, and clear £3296 0%cc

From jan 2013 for two years clear the loft personal loan (should be a 7 yr term)

After everything cleared, op everything to mortgage , should be cleared in 10 years from jan 2016 so done and dusted by the end of 2025 I will be 50

No hot holidays either, I don't want the kids to go without but with not a lot of money perhaps it would be more sensible to help them out financially in the future if possible, I don't know. What is the answer
