Hi fothers and GG, the receipes are great on her blog, I know what you mean though about weezls , they seem quit stodgy. The portions for four would feed dh on his own as well.
Another big daily op today - £5.06not quite so good was spending on a big bamboo plant for the garden from the DIY store that cost £29
I want to try and get some coverage for one side of the garden as the view is not as nice. The garden furniture turned up yesterday but I will wait until I've stained the decking before putting it all up.
I did a big shop at mr s today, loads of basic cupboard stuff and salad and veg,but not a lot of kids bits and meat. I also bought a chilli plant and a parsley plant form the supermarket, I am using the herbs all the time now , I wish I bought them years ago, I'm now growing:
Parsley
Chillies
Coriander
Basil
Rosemary
Mint
Chives
Thyme
Tomatoes
Red peppers
I wish I had a bigger garden I would love some fruit trees too!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
After some calculating I have worked out we are now just £300 short of the money we need to pay for the loft room :j that should be paid from next months money. All we need to find Now is the money for the bathroom suite , carpet , bed and bits and bobs.
If i stopped spending on the garden we may have got there quicker
Today I'm off to the gym with my second gr*upon pass, either a class and swim or just a swim if they are fully booked. Then home for a couple of hours work, a mammoth ironing session and if time planting the bamboo and a couple of tomato plants.
I've asked my parents round for a Barbie Sunday , so need to get the decking cleaned and stained as its yuk at the moment.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I am seriously worn out tonight, I did 60 lengths this morning, then nearly 4 hours ironing, a couple of hours work for dh, cleaned and stained the whole garden, planted the new plants, did trips to school , maths tutor and bq. Now I need to rest for a week :rotfl:
An mse dinner as I can't be bothered tonight and am having a glass of wine instead
Time to relax and read some diaries and blogsMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Today's plan is to clean the house, do the washing, a nice long dog walk and then do some more mfw planning.
Dd is supposed to be away with a friend and her family this weekend, unfortunately one of them is ill so we won't know if she is going until the very last minute , I need to get her things together just in case she can go. If she does not go she has a party , as does ds1 tonight plus I have all the family round for a takeaway.
I hope the weather is good this weekend, we are long overdue some sunshine, no holiday for us this year so it had better be hot at homeMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Argh, I wish I had not looked at the op calculator now
I as going to change back to repayment soon , but I think I will have to wait until next January now. It seems daft to keep the 0% cc and change the mortgage, i really should pay it off first. If I really go for it I can clear the cc this year and save for a bathroom suite and carpet for upstairs for the new room.
The bad news is with a massive bank loan payment of £368 pm I will have to take the term back up to around 17 yrs , if I op the loan when its finished it will knock another 41 months off.
I have decided on savings pot of £200pm , for all the car expenses and holidays or whatever else, not many hot holidays with that I think, but the reality is if we ever want to clear this debt we will have to go without some stuff. It looks like upping our income will be the best bet, online stuff and selling to start I think. I already have a massive tin full of change and I am not oping that now, it will be the start of the holiday and fun fundMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
I think I am going through a bit of a blip at the moment, I really feel like spending some money
not a little bit like on clothes or a meal, but a lot like buying a new car or a holiday. I won't do it, but I really have the urge at the moment.
I wonder if its down to the fact we now owe such a lot on the loft loan that a bit more "won't make a lot of difference" we used to be like this I the old days £30k of debt days  hopefully it will pass and I will not be stupid again, just seems funny after all this time , I thought I had grown out of this behaviour
Today I will finish the last coat of decking stain and put the new garden table up, I need to do a fridge check to see what we can use for a BBQ tomorrow. I'm thinking Greek salad , homemade coleslaw, baked sweet potatoes, rosemary roasted potatoes , homemade veggie burgers, h/m garlic bread and some meat.
Hope everyone is having a sunny weekend !MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
