Hi Peonie, I resisted everything including a bathroom suite
BBQ was good yesterday, and garden looking better than it has in years, although decking will not last another year I think. But I have real live plants to look after!
I have drunk too much wine the last couple of days and eaten too much food. I am thinking of cutting out the alcohol for a couple of weeks again, and possibly dairy as well. I just seem to have no will power to diet at the moment. I'm already veggie but maybe a couple of weeks vegan would help? I couldn't do it long term though I would miss feta too much
Mortgage wise nothing is happening at all at the moment, 10p daily op's made the last few days, but no other spare money to hand. I can't wait to get back on repayment next year and actually see the term come down, unlike now when my term is reducing monthly but the balance is not really :eek:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Well done. I tend not to diet. Maybe that's why I'm not losing weight...Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Hi Newgirly..... Hope all is well and that you are managing to resist splurging.... Hopefully it is just a passing phase and you will manage to resist the temptation.....0

Day one of the vegan diet done, and I feel better already
this morning I'm off for another groupon gym swim, target 70 lengths (its a super small pool :rotfl:) it's a horrid rainy day here, and I have about £4 left to spend until I can use the cc again which is around the 10-13 th
Food should stretch ok, I still have lots of frozen meals for me and dh ready made and veg and meat in the freezer for the kids , so all ok at the moment. I made a fantastic 3 bean chilli last night, a twist on one online. Veggi chilli with no quorn or meat and lots of flavour, Definatly one to do again.
It's only a couple of months until the kids birthdays  having twins is expensive enough with out having them a few days after dd's birthday! It's dd's 16th, so we want to get her a decent laptop for college, the other 2 usually have mainly money nowds2 buys a season ticket (football) with money he gets from family and friends.
10 p op made
Oops, hi to Peonie and lulabelle, thanks for postingMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Exercise overload today, I did 70 lengths without stopping and have taken to my bed early after hobbling around like an old lady all afternoon. Too much too soon I think
Now down to about £2 in cash and in desperation have rung the cc company to see when I can use it - Friday :T I might do an online order this month as I have not done one for ages, maybe will try sainsburys as I think I can get £12 off a £60 first order. Only problem is I have cupboards crammed with stuff I don't often use like approved foods sauces and seasonings etc. should really use it all up first I guess, does anyone need 20 odd boxes of out of date cuppa soup?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
Hope you feel better today ~ well done on the 70 lengths!! :T
Could you use some of the OOD cuppa soups to add extra flavour to some saucy dishes, like bolognaise, pasta sauce etc.??'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Morning NewGirly, well done on the lengths. I know you said it was a small pool but 70 lengths still sounds impressive to me :T
I agree with Pink Poppy, if you make the cuppa soups up with less water, or use more sachets to get a sauce, then you could use them in casseroles, or meat, veg, sauce and bung mash on the top. I can't remember whether your family eats meat, or is everyone vegetarian? If so, then a bean based cottage pie, or a lasagne with a different sauce instead of white sauce maybe?
I bought a slightly ridiculously large jar of capers from AF and I swear I'll still be using them when my kids have children :rotfl:

Well done on the exercise- 70 lengths sounds very impressive!
I did a AF shop a few months back and thought I had got loads of bargains but to be fair a lot of it is still festering in the cupboard as a lot of it is stuff we don't normally eat a lot of so I am not sure whether I will do it again or whether it was a bit of a false economy overall.
We did get a load of really cheap cereal bars with it though for lunch boxes and things but I have loads of strange sauces and things left.Jan 2013-£140,231.65
