Back from CP's today, journey home was good, there was bad though, 5 & 1/2 hours instead of 2 hrs 20

We had a good time but it is sooo expensive! we had 2x "meals" out (chip buttys/chips etc.) the rest of the time I cooked, we were going to do the carvery on sunday but it was £16pp plus drinks etc. so did'nt bother.

We did lots of pre-booked activites like pool tables/bowling /table tennis, all the cheapies :D but I have to say I did'nt enjoy it nearly as much as the first time I went. We had basic accomodation(like before) but it was very dated, we paid £559 but the price had gone up to £799 for 3 nights which was a bit of a cheek, there were a LOT of spiders in the bedrooms which was not fun for me and dd, you expect a couple being as its in the forest, but not the huge amount we had which made me think the cleaning was not that great.

I think dh got a bit fed up of my " how much does that cost?! " all weekend , which I tried not to do but its hard not to sometimes :rotfl:

All in all a good time really though, I have lots of diaries to catch up on tonight.

    Welcome back :D

We've been looking for last-minute breaks at CP but the prices are absolutely ridiculous!! £900+ for 4 nights!! I do like CP, but not that much ~ it's pure daylight robbery in the school holidays

Glad you had a good time though (apart from the spiders!!).

It is too expensive for what it is now, but it was fully booked! Judging by most of the cars there are stil a lot of people with a lot of money out there.:D

I had a look at my car ins last night, and in my efforts to be as mean with the pennies I have opted for the maximum excess on the policy which is a massive £1050, plus have not gone for the protected ncd  What an idiot!

End result is we now have a bloke coming thurs to give us a quote on repairing the damage from the bus, dh is convinced the guy will be able to do it, but I think the damage is too much. I dread to think of the cost and I know the cc will not be paid off in sept now :( Its just not ging to be worth claiming I think and losing the ncd, a lesson learned to not be so cheap by me though.

Other news is I have given up alcohol, I spend too much on it, its not good for you, and it might help with weight loss as I don't seem to be able to cut down on food. If I can do it now I can do it anytime (with the kids al at home :rotfl:)

There was no availability at all next week for the CP we were looking at  I actually [STRIKE]hoped[/STRIKE] wondered if not as many people would be going to CP this year because of the dire weather we've been having, but that crafty thought obviously didn't work out!! :rotfl:

I must have missed the post about the car/bus incident!! Hope you manage to get it sorted & it isn't too expensive _pale_

Hi, at that age its probably best to spend as much time as possible in and around the pool! Most of the activities are probably better for older kids.We went to sherwood forest and they have a really nice little beach area by the lake with toys there so they can play in the sand, have fun!
