So you would be happy for our great country to be under the rule of someone who clenches his fist when he says 'pledge' and who blinks three times at the mention of the word 'future'??? :eek:it's good to see that people are judging the next government on how an individual comes across on TV instead of the policies and future policies of the their future governments.

so these comments are political right?
this election isn't X-Factor and what song you choose or analysing body language - it's about addressing the issues in the UK
Chucky, one of those comments are mine.
Clegg won that TV debate in terms of how they put themselves across. That is all that was meant.0

agreed. leadership debates are the x factor element of election time. i don't think all will base their votes on them though.
maybe they should get simon cowell on to assess the performance...or alan sugar with his two sidekicks.
oooh ....it's getting very x factor now with the approval panel. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

No I agree, they are not, but they have got us talking. As we discuss policy so much its a nice change, innit. Its like the Location 3 threads were light relief, not serious indicators of the property market.... 0 As we discuss policy so much its a nice change, innit. A lot of people (elsewhere, checking polls) seem to think that LD will enjoy a brief surge, but then it will calm down. I wonder (drawing from my wasted vote thread) if perhaps if they get a big enough boost, they may become more viable, and thus draw even more votes?0

I think to vote on policies, whoever you agree with, is much better than voting on looks and smarm.
Oh no, not another smug !!!!!! like Blair! Really really couldn't stand him! Even prefer Brown to him and that's saying something! And his wife, OMG :eek:Everyone I know wants to be a millionaire.
Not me, I want to be a billionaire.0

In a word No - i don't think Brown is the answer for the UKSo you would be happy for our great country to be under the rule of someone who clenches his fist when he says 'pledge' and who blinks three times at the mention of the word 'future'???
but..... I'd rather not vote for a slimey guy who acted and performed his way right through 90 minutes of a tv debate0

It would be easier to consider their future policies if we were psychic, but given that I think they (all three parties) are far from being honest about what they are going to do I don't think electing them based on their future actions is worthwhile.
Or in other words, they are lying bar stewards.
they can't do much else but lie - noone would vote for them if they were honest.
you've got brown just pretending that he will not cut funding for anything important, cameron pretending he won't put up taxes, and clegg pretending the liberals matter.0

            Jesus.
Just looked at the poll running on ITV.
Clegg and Brown neck and neck.
Now that's surprised me. Looks like Brown could come out top according to this poll.
Brown has managed to go from 29% and take over from Clegg at 48% in a matter of 10 mins.
 He's now the overall winner.
