I read that the audience was going to me a fair mix of age and nationalities, it's far from it! I have only seen a hand full of under 25 year old's, and they are the people that don't vote, that should be learning and asking questions. The voters of the future.

one of the questioners was a last year of school (18?) Jewish lad...perhaps he was representative. ;) I missed a lot of the questioners, listening while typing.

haven't the lib dems always attacked the tories more than labour? hardly surprising.

it's good to see that people are judging the next government on how an individual comes across on TV instead of the policies and future policies of the their future governments.

    it's tragic

I'm not sure I agree, wholly.. One person in this thread at least has had curiosity piqued and is researching parties now...lots of us are already politically curious.

well OH says he might vote lib dem now (but did ask me if that was okay and were they more on the side of the rich people?!)
    :rotfl:

I am surprised at the amount of people now considering voting lib dem. I dont think all those saying they will now though will actually dare put the x in the box- think there is still the idea it is a wasted vote.... i still cant work out if this is a 'once in a lifetime opportunity' type thing for lib dems due to sheer frustration at the other 2, or if their popularity will continue to grow over the next decade or so?

my parents today declared they will be voting lib dem, which i was mightily surprised at. looking foward to seeing friends on saturday and asking them what their voting intentions are (must be getting old/ boring) :D

Nick came across best - 1st place.
    Gordon - 2nd place.
    Dave 3rd place.

    lol

Based on the people who will actually be voting, I think you are right.

Cameron will definately come out last place. Quite simply, I feel, because of the massive glut of people who will feel they need to vote for Brown as they stand behind labour no matter what.

Like with any poll, it's who will feel compelled to answer it that counts.

    I'll go Clegg, 51%, Brown 32%, Cameron 17%.

I agree, a lot of the people I know have watched tonight who normally are not in the slightest bit interested in politics and definitely wouldn't look at the party manifestos. I think the TV debate has kind of summarised the parties for people and like me, if any particular party stood out for them, they can then research further like LIR has said.

instead of the policies and future policies of the their future governments.

It would be easier to consider their future policies if we were psychic, but given that I think they (all three parties) are far from being honest about what they are going to do I don't think electing them based on their future actions is worthwhile.

Or in other words, they are lying bar stewards.

    I enjoyed my slapping :)

Clegg was either very honest & 'good' or very well practiced. Too much positive body language etc. to be natural.

I had fairly low expectations of Brown but thought he came across quite well.

Cameron started off ok but was really irritating by the end. I will try to vote for policies but can't bear the thought of 5 years of that smug, shiny, botoxed face. (Sorry Mr C's mummy if you're reading this).
