How late were you in the end, and what were the (economic) consequences? We are just scared now of having to pay enormous lateness fees. It's incredible they can get away with it so easily..!
our completion kept getting moved back, no economic consequences as such, we werent in a chain so that may have helped, god knows what would have happened if we were0 -
That's simply awful. Have you tried ringing the numbers on the contact page? http://www.santander.co.uk/csgs/Satellite?appID=abbey.internet.Abbeycom&canal=CABBEYCOM&cid=1210607121058&leng=en_GB&pagename=Abbeycom%2FPage%2FWC_ACOM_TemplateA2
If no joy on the phone, I think I'd camp out at Santander, Mortgage & Loan Operations, PO Box 287, STOCKTON ON TEES TS17 6QQ, or at their head office, until somebody does something useful to sort you out.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Am reading this thread and keeping my fingers crossed for you, how horrible a situation to be in, I really hope they get their act together and get this sorted for you!0

and you post about people being "intellectually challenged".........rolls eyes...:rotfl:
I had the impression that the OP has been phoning their local branch office. It's how I read the OP: "We've been calling and going there everyday, spoke to the branch manager." Could be wrong ofc.
I'm pretty certain that I'm not gaga yet, so if you think I've missed something please explain. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Sorry i might have confused things a bit. Having had no replies or feedback from the mortgage center via our solicitor, we personally went to speak with the branch manager to try and put some pressure on them.0
