Oh Hester, I'm so sorry about your lunch but you write about it so funnily :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I remember being phoned from a mobile phone company's Indian callcentre - the man said "Good afternoon Madam, my name is Alistair McDonald" and I said firmly "I don't think it is, you know." That wasn't on his script either....

All I wanted was beans on toast, not a lot to ask is it? Yes it seems it is.
I had some left over baked beans & so decided to have them on toast for lunch, I was barely into my 2nd mouthful when the home phone rang.
    'Hello Madam'
    'Hello'
    'My name is Alister'
'Madam I'm phoning to tell you about a threat to your computer'
'Thanks but I have security on my computer'
'But Madam, I'm telling you about a new threat, a very rare threat, it is secret threat'
'Well it's not much of a secret if you are phoning me about it'
Long pause my answer wasn't on his script
'Madam this is very rare threat, can't be seen by virus checker, very very rare new threat, only affects Windows users, it is over taking 10 thousand computers every day'
'Not very bloody rare then is it, I'm not interested, goodbye'
I put the phone down & took 2 more mouthfuls of my beans on toast, my mobile rang, it was hubby, I told him I was eating my lunch, he asked me to phone him back when I'd finished, another mouthful of my by now rapidly cooling beans on toast, the mobile rang again, it was a Freegler phoning to arrange to come & collect something.
Another mouthful of my beans on toast & the home phone rang, I answered it assuming hubby had got tired of waiting for me to call him back.
'Hello Madam, My name is Peter & I'm phoning to tell you about a threat to your computer'
    'Does it only affect Windows?'
'Yes Madam, but very rare threat, very secret'
'That's ok, I have an Apple!'
I threw my by now stone cold beans on toast away.

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Ahhhh Hester I love your way with posting :D

Ivyleaf - perhaps it's a girl thing. Whilst DS was no angel I don't recall him being quite sooooooo demanding. Have tried the whole ignoring thing but it's not easy with a little person wrapping themselves round the bottom of your legs :rotfl:

NPM - @ Noah running in the road. He's a lucky boy. I hope you are over the shock of it (with a stiff drink hope). I can understand how you're not keen on respite (as it sounds like many changes are just too stressful). As much as you could probably do with the rest and break I am guessing it makes Noah too unahppy and therefore something you don't want to subject him to.

H has requested fish and chips for tea so after I've bathed the kids I shall get to work on that.

    Evening all

I'm very proud of 3 of my work kids today - One has been offered a summer job as a result of his work placement, another weekend work and a third has a job interview for part time post with major retailer. All as a result of their 3 week work placements!! :j I get them back from placement tomorrow and can't wait to see them all, it's been so quiet without them, although I've got loads done. We are going raft building tomorrow, which is always fun, just hope it stays sunny! We do the raft building literally outside my flat window in the dock!

I popped to the gym on my way home to see what it was like. It didn't look too scary :rotfl: and has no tie in to the contract which appealed to me in case I don't like it. So it's a consideration now, just need to check finances will allow it.

I then walked the 'long' way home, it's only an extra few minutes but it's a fantastic walk :D I really should do it more often, but it has a bu88er of a hill!! I walk past a big lake with loads of swans/ducks/herons then up the hill (where trains go under!!) then I'm next to the coast and have a fab view over the seaside :D walk along the coast for 10mins then I'm home!! Definately going that way more often. Then when I got in I sat on my balcony with my book for half hour in the sun. happy days.

I'm off to make stirfry now

Just popping in to say hello and cheerio, had a nice quiet day, relaxed, I've lost my husband, he's gone to my sister's to drop my nephew's bike back to him, and appears to have forgotten the way home! Either that or he's avoiding the huge pile of soil in the back garden he's meant to be disposing of tonight. Hmmm.

Am watching Jonas with the boys. It's soooo wrong in sooo many ways! :o

Hope you've all had as nice a day! Hugs all round, OS people!

ETA Flutterby did you get your balcony boxes? I was looking for planters online today and saw a few, if you're still looking, I'll pull them out of my favourites and pm you the links tomorrow!

We may be skint this month but there is some good news, as well as being asked to do alternate Satudays at school, hubby's now been asked to do 6 til 10 in the evening to lock up, probably only for a week, but it's all extra money.

    hi everyone,

I am going to moan about how I've struggled to get things done these past few days as the boys are being evil - my OH thinks its because my mumhas been chatting th them about my dad who died in January and its still upsetting and confusing for my 4 year old where his grandads gone. I think this may be a bit but also cos I have let disipline slack the past couple of months and OH often doesnt tell them off as he doesnt want them 'not to like him'! The boys have begun to riot and its time to stop.

At least its been dry so washing on the line, made chicken and pasta for tea but completely forgot to blend the corgette for the sauce as the boys kindly invited 3 of the kids from the road in! (i then look mean as i said they had to play in garden!).

Made more cripsy cakes from the easter eggs now only 16 left - most will be going into OH work next week.

I fel sorry for myself, but shouldnt cos there are plenty of folk with more issues than me -

hugs to everyone with high maintenance kids and I hope we all get sleep soon! :j

    Rant over xx
