I'm a Bridezilla and my confession is ... I want to scream, shout and stamp my feet at the venue!
1st - They forget to tell me my nice wedding co-ordinator had left (6 months ago!)
2nd The new jumped up wedding co-ordinator told me the final balance, numbers and plans for the day needs to be sorted by 18th September only he's gone on holiday till 28th September and didn't tell me.:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
Oh dear Chelbel!
My confession is that I got mad with the OH yesterday - he wanted some extra invitations so I made some slightly less fancy than the others then I shouted at him - he started tweaking! I could feel myself getting madder and madder with him! Just because he's an ICT geek and I'm not!!!!!0 -
Right I am going to go seriously bridezilla soon!
Brother who was seeing one girl, I invited (cos we'd met and I liked her) then dumps her (about 6 months ago) So I invite a friend in her place. Now seeing a different girl and clearly has said something to our Mum cos she mentioned that this girl, will drive brother down (he doesn't drive) and 'she will be on her own' or brother will have to come on his motorbike (which my Mum hates him riding since a bad accident a year ago) and girlfriend will come in the evening. Just had text from brother, 'has anyone cancelled the meal??'
NO they haven't cos they don't all go through partners like underwear!
I refuse to be blackmailed like this with only 6 weeks to go. Mum already said, 'oh I can alway pay for the extra meal' Its not the flipping money its the fact I have 5 tables of 6 people and I am not mucking around with the table plan for a girl I have never met, and knowing my brother won't ever see again!!
*now breathe*
Ooh I totally feel your pain with this one!
I had invited my sister, her partner, her four grown up children and the wife and child of one of the grown up children. (I see them maybe once every two years and we are not close at all). The one with the wife and child couldn't get it together enough to send me a text to let me know he wasn't coming and instead he told my sister who told my mum who told me (very mature there!). So, I'd therefore reserved 5 meals - sister, partner and three grown up children. On the day, my sister, two grown up children and a partner of one of the children (who I'd met once for 2 hours) arrived. I was seriously not impressed by this as we had to shell out for a meal for someone I hardly knew, they were one person short (fortunately I didn't have to pay for the meal for the missing guest), I had a nice bottle of champagne opened and poured for there table and none of them touched a drop of it, and none of them had it in them to say congratulations to me!
Arg families!!!!
I also agree with the post about being stressed - I was so wound up before the wedding and lots of people thought it would be a great idea to tell me to "chill out" - as if that would even be possible and as if that would help anything!0 -

That's just reminded me, I found a pile (22) of invites that OH said he'd sort, I gave them him 2 weeks ago :heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -

my confession today is......
i cant be bridezilla enough because im sure my september 2012 wedding is getting further away!!!!!!!!!!I am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
bridezilla moment for me - i don't want any of my guests to stay in nicer villas or hotels than me for our Greek wedding. Can't help itsaving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -
My confession is, we're secretly getting married (we hope - subject to flight times) in Barbados before our cruise next year (family know and are fine with this), but a girl in work keeps asking if we've set a date, booked our venue, oh and she needs to know when so she can parade me around the office dressed up, with a potty!!! She can jog on.....
And, my sister and boyfriend who are coming on the cruise (and being witnesses) told a friend at her work what we were doing and she said to my sister 'I bet you make it a double and come home married' - eh no way Jose, it's mines and OH's plan to get married (they are not even engaged)! My sister won't suggest it, but if she does I will politely say NO WAY!0 -
My confession is that I had a 'debate' with oh's nan about the venue in front of his family while at a meal to celebrate his graduation. She doesnt want it there because shes heard theres 'rough' people who go there, shes never been there herself and is only going on what shes heard. Several people who has had their own reception there have recomended it to me and whenever ive gone everyone has been friendly and helpful. My point was that its in a private room seperate to the main part (only staff can access it from the main part) so it will only be the people whom we invite that will be there so she has nothing to worry about. She had put me in a bad mood from the get go by the first words out of her mouth towards me being 'you've put on some weight'. fantastic.:kisses2: Getting Married 5th November 2011 :kisses2:0

my confession is that am actually gobsmacked. me and my mum compared guest lists last nite and it only dawned on me then that we are having more guests than originally thought. 188 people:eek: i cant believe it. in a way am thankful my mum and dad are paying (as bad as that sounds sorry) but on the other hand i feel bad that its going to cost them a fortune. I have a very large close family so half of them are my family and only 25 people are my OHs family. he said he didnt want no one else to come so he is happy with that......think more invites to do is on the cards
