That reminds me of my grandmother! Something along those lines was always the first thing she said to me whenever I'd see her. Always filled me with joy.
I'd love to know what she'd say now, seeing as I've lost nearly two stone in the past year. Probably still wouldn't be good enough. Families eh?!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

First thing my nana said to her when I told her we were getting married - hope you going to lose some weight first!
I think I am now Bridezilla! Having too many moments to mention! I am a stress head at the moment!:eek::mad::eek::mad::eek::mad::eek:0 -
My confession is that I only like to talk about wedding planning, to people I don't really know well (who won't be coming to my wedding), my H2B and my mum. I really try not to say too much when anyone else asks me how the wedding plannings going, dunno why it just seems weird!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0

I confession is, I deliberately didn't invite my brother's girlfriend's kids to the wedding, because I thought they were badly behaved, even though I did invite my friend's children.
Of course. she couldn't come because she couldn't get anyone to look after them for 2 days, but oh well, I wasn't heartbroken.0 -

Ha ha I am doing exactly the same with someones kids-if they cant behave on the street there is no way they will behave in a church!0 -
I've had a lucky escape from having a major Bridezilla moment. OH's best man mentioned a while ago that he'd be proposing to his GF 'when the time is right...soonish though' and I had a sinking feeling that it'd be whilst we're all away for our wedding and they'd be stealing my thunder! They just got engaged last week and I'm sooooo relieved, I want my thunder all to myself (err... and OH I suppose!)! But now I'm worried that someone else might think it's a good idea to propose out there, I can imagine OH's brother doing it the night before the wedding or some other inappropriate time, I'm going to have to get MIL2B to make sure he hasn't got any silly plans or he'll face my wrath!
OH has been a bit groomzilla recently too! Yesterday we were talking about our wedding holiday and he said 'I don't to be hearing any of this 'it's our holiday too' nonsense from guests, they're there for us and they'll do what we want when we want them to; the only time they're allowed to go off on their own is when I'm sick of them!' I hope he was joking or there could be trouble!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I'm a bridezilla and my confession is.... I really don't understand why my Mum (wonderful as she is) seems so obsessed with buttonholes and corsages, neither me or OH could give a fig about them! We're letting her have them (not very MSE, but they did give us money towards the wedding) as I don't want an argument about them when she's already biting her tongue about not baking the whole cake.
It looks so stupid when written down, but she was kicking up a right fuss last month at my SB's wedding because the whole family didn't have button holes and I just don't see the point in them. Anyone care to enlighten me?MFW #66 - £4800 target0 -
Buttonholes are an old-fashioned form of a favour I guess. In fact, back in the very old days guests would bring their own to a wedding. But more people provide them to uniform all the guests and match them to the wedding.I love surprises!0

Thanks for the reply Maggie, although I still can't really see the point.MFW #66 - £4800 target0
