I'm actually wondering how I can tactfully ban my sis in law 2b from coming within sneezing distance of me before the wedding! She already took me for my final fitting yesterday which i thought mil2b was going to do
If I'm ill I won't be happy and will ban her from being a bm!!

Ok, someone help me, slap me with a wet fish or something...PLEASE!! I've just logged into FB and I have some friends on there who are still friends with my ex who got married last week. I don't care about that in itself but they had PURPLE, bl00dy PURPLE :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I know loads of people have purple but not THEM! And just to top it right off, they got married in a castle, I booked the registry office in the next town so I could have a castle as my back drop :mad::mad::mad::mad:

Oh god it sucks, I now want to change everything and I can't

I'm having the same issue with purple it's the in bl00dy colour atm. When I picked it a year ago hardly anyone had it :mad:

Why can't people come up with their own ideas lol

I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!! Have always known I wanted purple when we got married and I also know it's got really popular and I don't particularly mind but it being THEIR colour has really stuck in my throat and I just can't help but feel people will notice even though I haven't spoken to him for 3 years (and that was only to tell him to stop emailing me or I'd tell his [STRIKE]girlfriend[/STRIKE] now wife!).

I know it shouldn't and it's totally irrational but I really could cry over it. I obviously haven't told OH about it but sent a text to my best mate last containing at least 5 expletives describing my feelings! :mad:

I can sympathise with you JTR.

My ex and I were engaged and had started to plan our wedding about 3 months before we broke up. The planning was left to me so I chose burgundy as the colour, Preston Hall as our venue and we were going to use a limo so we could travel with the parents and bridesmaids. He got married in 2007 and had everything I had chosen for our wedding which didn’t bother me at the time as I wasn’t planning a wedding. Fast forward to 2010 and when OH and I started planning our wedding and I got a little annoyed at the fact that my pig of an ex used MY ideas. OH wanted to get married at the same venue, I wanted burgundy and we were considering using a 7 seater so we could fit all the bridesmaids in with my Dad and I.

After venting to my maid of honour and a little bit of !!!!!iness, we came to the conclusion that:
1). They were my ideas in the first place so I have the right to use them without feeling like I am copying
2). My wedding will be much nicer than theirs. I saw some photos on my friends facebook page and (this could be the child in me, haha) it was tacky and cheap looking.
3). They are divorced now so I guess karma came and bit him in the butt for stealing my ideas.

It’s amazing how after a bit of !!!!!iness everything seems less important.

Oh and why can't the register office answer the bloomin' phone when I want to book our appointment to give notice.... don't they realise how important this is!!!

Why do people think it is to not send back their RSVP, especialyl when they aren't going.

I text a few friends yesterday, and one replied saying that they couldn't make but that she had wanted to tell me in person - !!!!!!, it 2 1/2 weeks to the wedding - when was she planning on letting me know!

It's not irrational it's totally natural i'd be upset too

The most annoying thing is I didn't want purple I want blue but blue wouldn't have gone with my dress :mad: & purple is OH's fav colour :mad::mad: So he one & I'm stuck with a colour that everyone else wants lol

Totally sympathise lazer - everyone has finally sent an rsvp but there have been a fair few bridezilla moments about it in the last few months. :cool:

We are still waiting on a quite a few, but our RSVP date was only 14th September - If i have everyone answers by this weekend I'll be happy enough!

Although I am now afraid of our venue looking too sparse due to the number of non attendees - invited 200, current yes - 112, current no - 57! Still waiting - 34!

I sent my STD out in March 85 sent accepted so far 6 decline definately 3 so i have no freaking clue what's going on

Oh well invites going out next month if they haven't replied by Feb screw them lol
