no not been processed yet, been told it got to be done manually...
i have had my 4 week run on as child care went down april 26th...

This does seem like a Specialist Renewals Case. It may be worth calling the helpline and asking if it has been inhibited from finalisation (sorry if I've already said this... your name seems familiar and this post is getting to a ridiculous length to keep track of). It will still be a provisional award and the Specialist Renewal Team will be able to finalise it for you.

As your 4 week run on will have ended now you should see a difference in your payments from now on.
  • Taxcredits- what are these additional checks then???
  • Can I just give some people who have already renewed throught the specialist team some advice. I renewed through specialist team on Fri. Phoned the helpline today who told me that my claim was still showing as unfinalised. Phoned specialist team back and spoke to a different girl who told me wait for it....We have no record of your phonecall on friday. I am really annoyed. How can all that info that i gave on Friday just disappear.
Had to go through everything again. The girl knew i wasnt happy but its wasnt her fault and she apologised over and over.

The thing is, if i hadnt phoned today to find out about claim I would still have been none the wiser and it would still be sitting as not finalised.

Please , if you have renewed even through specialist team, keep phoning for updates. Im glad I did today.

I just want this over and done with now.
  • Can i just add that i stated to the girl if the phonecalls are recorded then she could just go through these and find the phonecall on Friday.
She informed me that the calls were not recorded!!

I was not amused to say the least

You must have been so angry, same as myself. What gets me is that I would never have been any the wiser and claim would have been sitting untouched. I will be checking with them in a few days time and if the same thing happens again ill be making a complaint to HRMC:mad:
  • Forgotten.... Is yours finaly sorted and if so how long did it take before you had revised payments?x

    thank you tax creditshelp.

i have not recd any letter from the specialist team at all.
i am just concerned that my normal weekly payment wont go in tomorrow as i do rely on this money.

    Hi
I never ever received any letter from specialist team whatsoever. I only found out my claim was being renewed through them when I phoned the main helpline and they told me there was a signal on account. This was about 3 weeks after I renewed. My advice is phone them as they will be able to tell you if there is a signal on your claim and as taxcredithelp has already stated it does sound like a specialist case.:)

Hi all! Just a quick update: Phoned specialist line on 19th, spoken to very nice lady, went through all the details as per renewal pack. Call lasted about 5 mins. Phoned main TCO line on friday to see if anything has been done. Claim was processed and i was given new payment schedule as well. I will not get the final reward yet as we are waiting for an accountant to give us my husbands income figures, so my husband still shows as estimated, which is fine. Hopefully, i will not be asked anything else.
