Morning All,
Congrats PP - you gonna post your birth story?
Am jealous of all you on / about to go on maternity leave. I have another 3 ish weeks to go and maybe even longer if Flump is late.
Am hoping he decides to come in about 2 weeks as am starting to get really uncomfortable, and 2 weeks gives me plenty of time to try and get my head around the fact that I am going to be a mummy!
Saw midwife yesterday, and he is 3/5th engaged and went through my birthing plan. So everything is ready. Am sure he doesn't like the midwife though (I think shes lovely) as everytime, after I have seen her, he gives me loads of grief. Last night, I had really bad belly ache, and back ache and he was really really heavy. This morning, evening though I am shattered, everything is fine. He also plays up everytime and it takes ages to get him to settle so that she can get a timed reading of his heartbeat.
Erm... Cant think what else I wanted to say, so labour vibes for KK and xmas if you want them. And welcome Nephs (yes the pain is probably foot or hand - foot in my case)0 -

Just back from the midwife. At the last appointment I was measuring a bit above the middle line on the growth chart. Now I'm measuring quite a way above the top line. Just done a rough calculation and if her measurements are right Flump's looking like an 11 pounder!!!:eek: I'm getting a bit worried now, especially since I won't be able to have an epidural. I can't squeeze out something that big!!
Has anyone else measured big at this stage (28 weeks) but had the baby turn out not to be quite so big later on?
If the baby is that big, I really don't know where it's hiding since I don't think my bump is all that big. My friend is 2 1/2 weeks ahead of me and her bump is huge in comparison.
I'm thinking I'd better leave the tags on the newborn clothes though, as they might have to go back and be changed for a bigger size. Anyone know if John Lewis will exchange without a receipt? You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -

Hehe... SheDevil!!:rotfl:
HE (although I'm now thinking more and more you and DH are correct:mad::p) is being a little monster and had better flip back round to head down before eviction. I'm sure when he realises the date of eviction he'll be very keen to come out!!:DBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Bigbird, unless you know your baby will be small it's probably best to avoid newborn! one outfit or a sleepsuit or two for hospital lol
Couldn't get DD1's legs in Newborn, she was 10lb 2. I measured normal btw!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I don't actually have very much in newborn as I was never expecting to have a small baby, I figured more like 8 pounds-ish so I've mainly bought 0-3months. But I have about 3 really sweet sleepsuits that my Mum and sister bought in newborn size and it would be a shame if we never get to use them at all.
This one in particular I absolutely love. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
