On a related note, I'm fairly impressed - despite the contractions I was having at the time, my logic worked and i guessed right!

Morning all.
Congratulations pigpen. Welcome coops.

Quick question.
For your first pregnancy, when did you start to show? Im 14+2 and just started to notice a little bump...not so that anyone else could tell yet mind you . Hopefully i can get another month or so out of my normal clothes...wishful thinking maybe!?!

xmas - hope it's the special kind!

At home today - Yay! Just staying in bed a bit longer and not having to rush to the station makes such a difference! I am getting the urge to do some baby washing also!

Morning everyone

early start today as husband up at 6am to go for a job interview hr and half away, he has had initial interview and now has to meet managing director and meeting was at 9am so he didnt want to be late so left at 7am, he would commute for a year and then we would move as I need to go back to work for 3mths without repaying maternity pay as get more than stat for first 6mths. He is going to ask about working from home 2 days a week - will see what happens.

He should be back by midday, then his dad and step-mum are coming for the weekend I told them to come after 2pm as I had an appointment I dont but they would have left south east at 6am and been here by 9-10am and they are staying til sunday lunch so didnt want to entertain them that long!!

claire - i cant really remember when i first started to show, i always had a big belly anyways so that seems to have just got harder and higher, although now i have a fully fledged bump and am huge. although i did get ages out of my normal clothes up to just before 20 wks i think then i had to start buying everyhting a few sizes bigger.

i need help im planning to go to docs on mon to try and get a sick line for one week, but i dont know what to say!! i know i can self-cert for one week but ive been off work sick a few days this week and am back in so it would make me feel better just handing a sick line in. but i dont know what to say to him, can i just go in and say "my sickness has came back, although its not as bad as it was at the start, but i feel so bloody down im really f*cked off and i need to rest for a week?" i feel so bad because i know some ladies have really horrid pregnancy problems.im meant to be working right up to the end and to be honest i dont see that happening so im hoping if i got a week off it may help "recharge" me because i feel atrocious.

I too am on my 1st pregnancy and I am 29wks tomorrow (not that I am counting, ha ha). I've literally just put my 'normal' jeans away this week, and started wearing some maternity jeans today! So you may be lucky and get away with it for sometime. Most people just think I've put on a few pounds around the middle in work!! :cool:
