Hi ladies in waiting, please may I join your list. My EDD is 14th January 2011 and this is my first baby at the ripe old age of 41.

I don't check in here much as you all seem much more advanced that me and I can't symptom-sympathise at the mo! Shame there isn't a 2nd trimester thread.

Is there a section of this site for reviews, opinions and tips on baby equipment, what to buy and what not to, baby clubs to join, vouchers etc - I want to get the bulk of this kind of thing sorted before I become a beached whale?

    *selfish moan alert*

I'm tired and fed up...no idea why I'm fed up, probably linked in with the tiredness tbh!
I just feel knackered from having to get up to pee 4 times in the night, baby then deciding it had room to play! mixed in with the worry of disturbing DH too much and as we know, everything is 10 times worse when you're shattered:p
Oh and I'm fed up with constantly confusing myself re: babies sex:o In my head I'm convinced it's a boy but when I talk to anyone about baby I always end up saying 'she'...freudian slip possibly??? Whatever it is it's bugging the poop outta me!!!

    *rant over(I think:o)*

on a more positive note...just booked the tour of the maternity hospital:jfor 15th August.....I'll only be 29weeks!!! apparently it's been quiet and they're usually booked yonks in advance :/ ah well, hopefully it'll put my mind at ease over having the bubs in hospital and I'll get to have a good gawp at the birthing pool:D:D

I'll be 38 weeks when start ML and have 2 weeks leave before, so guess I could technically go off sick then just come back for a day or two! I think I'll see how I go - I do actually have stuff to do at work and am not sure sitting around at home is the best thing for me, I just can't be bothered!

welcome make-it-3 we're not all that far on, it's just that lots of ladies tend to stay on the less than 12 weeks thread for ages as they have got comfy there. I've been on here since after my 13 week scan and have found it great :) just ask away about anything

It's thundering here now! DH has got a bit grumpy as the new pc hasn't come...he saw a dhl van outside earlier and reckons they thought it was for the shop downstairs (which is closed today) and have taken it back to depot..as tracking said was out for delivery. I can understand why he's mad as he's working from home and has so much to do as has the annual audit next week which he's preparing for.

    HI ladies,

    Huge congrats to Pigpen :)

I have been lurking for ages, but not really had much to say, so just read and sympathised with you all.

Just a quick note i was told today that our hospital does not allow tours, so i am a little dissappointed! i am not hugely worried about giving birth in hospital, but would like to know where it is. Oh well, suppose i will just have to cope, or maybe go for a home birth???

Right i am back to lurking, 24 wks 5 days :)

hehe I suppose but I feel guilty as it's just me having an indulgent whinge:), don't actually have any 'real' issues...LUCKILY!:D

LL so long as you know which entrance you're heading for I think thats the main thing:D Would it help if you & your DH did a practice run nearer the time??? We're planning on doing this too as DH gets quite stressy and I'l be in no fit state to calm him down:rotfl: did you find out the flavour??? I can't remember! Nice to see you popping in :D

ETA: can I now include in my moany rant that I have a baby trying to suffocate me from within and enjoys trying to break my ribs?!?!:p

Our hospital doesn't do tours either. Ours has a you tube video!!! Not quite the same:rotfl:

As it's turned out I've now spent many a day on the labour ward so I do feel "lucky" that I've got to know it before bean's arrival.

Fuzz... you're allowed to moan and I know all about the flavour confusion. I was asked yesterday do I know it's a boy as I tend to say he!

Ours is also a video tour...and I've never been to that hospital! In laws will be taking us over there when the time comes as dh doesn't drive (well, he has passed his test but hasn't driven since...apparently he can't drive our [it was my] car!)
