Congrats DP :j
Delain - I like those cars,we test-drove one a while ago and I really wanted one this time but oh prefered the zafira.
Been for my mw check-up inc bloods and a swab for Group B Strep as I had it in my last pg. Then went for a bit of baby shopping, including an isofix base for the car seat and a new car seat for dd.
We've been given a 2nd hand car seat from a friend thats never been in a car seat (although I did drop it getting it out the loft ) - would really like a new one though as its looking a bit tatty, debating whether to splash out on one as I have had my sure start money through.0 -
gems - that sounds like it will be a challenge! I'm jealous that you only have 1.5 weeks left...I have 4.5
Rach - i work in schools so it made sense to do maternity from 1st september, and taking 2 weeks leave owed me before then. At the time i wasnt so happy about it, but now i know its the right choice!!
I may change my mind when i have 6 weeks sat on the sofa unable to do alot waiting for bubs to arrive.
I hope your 4.5 weeks go quickly, the last few weeks have flown by for me, so fingers crossed it will be the same for youBaby No.1 due 27/9/10

Has anyone seen this? This makes me really mad at other mothers judging and deciding what others should do or not do..... I am pleased she found it so easy but its just not always the case!

apologies if it has already been posted - this kind of article does no favours for people who cannot breastfeed or those who find it so difficult - I find it really hard personally. And very painful....
Hope everyone else is well and welcome & congratulations to Dear Pru & baby Isla Rose - gorgeous name...BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -
DON79 I agree, I have small boobs that produce small amounts and tried for 15 weeks, breastfeeding, formula feeding and expressing every 2 hours. To be honest I drove myself loopy trying to BF. This time I am going to give it a go for a week and if it doesnt happen by then, tough. Life is too short to be hung up over it, and I want to enjoy my baby not dread every feed.
Sorry rant over. And yes I know it has nothing to do with the size of your boobs but mine just dont work properly so it seems :cool:DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

Don its alright for her with all her gurus and paid professionals to help her full time to get it right and of course the nanny which she will no doubt have so she can sleep in between feeds us mere mortals are left to fend for ourselves. I tried and tried to breastfeed bubs but the lazy little monster just wouldnt suck and the so called professionals i spoke to just looked at me and "said oh yes your right he isnt sucking" I just sat there ready to cry thinking well tell me something i dont know like how to get him to suck grrrrrrr!!!!:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Good luck to KK, PP and Xmas hope things go smoothly.
Don I agree with you women shouldn't be put under so much pressure, she is the same one that said pregnant ladies eat too much (garbage disposals I think she said) and labour was a breeze.
So glad I finish in half a week, finding getting home so hard this week (sweating buckets - yuck!)Thomas born 28/08/2010 weighing 5lbs and 4ounces, small but perfectly formed :j:j Now weighs 19lbs and 5 ounces

that's it, I have the other issue, my boobs are too big I think, and milk just does not seem to flow at all - it just gets stuck and I get infections etc. I drove myself crazy over it too and it was a major factor in post natal depression for me as I felt like a total failure.
I totally agree, this time will be giving the baby the first week or so and as soon as its painful/bleeding/infected - then that is it - onto the formula. I too want to enjoy time with my baby and I just can't do that if I am stressing that baby is not getting enough milk/not putting on weight/not thriving and not happy & crying.
am so glad its not just me!BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
