I did mention it Xmas but not sure if he was keen...! Its weird as he keeps asking me to check when I go to loo and gross stuff like that but yet the idea of my waters going during sex really terrifies him! Mind you knowing him he is probably more worried as our bedroom has cream carpet, cream bedding, etc and new mattress!! (I do have a protector tho!) the pains are getting a lot worse now
just wish it would lead to something and just not keep dying down!!
I've started getting the dreaded 'have you had the baby' texts already!! Grrrr! Does this mean I have 2 more weeks of this?!?!0 -
.... Sorry I havent finished ranting!! But pressure to BF really p***** me off!!! We all should do what suits us, even if you dont want to BF you shouldn't have to try just to keep someone happy. My OH mum is really putting the pressure on me, no matter what I say to her. I am going to try as I would like to experience it, if it hurts then out comes the formula! Do what suits you ladies!0

OH mentioned that article to me. We have decided to try and I will do my best but if it doesn't "work" for us, tough. It's more important for baby to have a happy and stress free mummy.
When did Giselle become an expert anyway? And does it not occur to these people that some of us have to go back to work full time and don't have the luxury of being able to pick and chose our own hours and pay for full time help.
Silly bint, this kind of ranting does no favours for making new mothers feel secure.Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -

will join you lol! I wasn't even going to try at all this time but OH made a fuss about giving the baby the colustrum blah blah blah so thats all the baby is going to get
Bottles are what I know and I know what I am doing with them and I am happy and relaxed as a mummy when not under pressure as when am struggling with BF.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0 -

two words.. 'sod off!!!'.. work wonders.. though I am a great fan of 'no I don't want to..'
I'm being pressured to use dispoable nappies and formula.. my baby.. my way.. they had their chance to do it their way..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I do keep telling her 'my baby, my way!' but she doesn't seem capable of listening! I am being pressured into opposite; to BF and to use reuseables. I won't decide on nappies until the baby is born. I would NEVER tell someone they had to do something a certain way just to suit me! Some people!! Grrrrrr!0

*steps out of lurkdom*
Congrats to all the new babies - I think I have missed three:
Durham Girl - Big hugs - its so hard to leave hospital without them, DD2 was in for 2 months when she was born so I feel your pain, however, he sounds like he is doing great and will be home with you before you know it
Pru - BEAUTIFUL name and I'm so glad you go the birth you wanted.
Member that baby brain made me forget - I'm SO sorry and congratulations
rach - please dont feel guilty for phoning in sick - if you is ill you is ill and you and the bump are paramount - tbh, top kudos for you when you we supposed to be working from home anyway - many wouldn't have done!
To the breast is best brigade,
Yes, we KNOW it is, however, sometimes we just cant or dont and "our" bottle fed babies wont be poisoned, grow up with chemicle induced diabilities, grow a third arm or procure some super hero power because "we" chose SMA over colustrum so PLEASE, BF away happily but let the FF mums do the same.

As far as "Giselle" is concerned I dont think even I could get what I want to say past the filter- Her own personal little Utopia must be just ever so pink and fluffy *rollseyes*
Where is smartie?????
Labour vibes to kitkat, pigpen & xmas

For those that do want to try breastfeeding, can I recommend getting as much support in place before the baby is born as you can... Find your local bf support groups and pop along (they love a good pregnant woman almost as much as they love a newborn!) build up a raport with people you'd feel comfortable asking for help if you need it... Find out what's in your local community... This week is world breastfeeding week so things should be more signposted this week... And because it's WBW there's going to be a lot of sensationalised crap in the media... Always happens...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

hiya everyone
congrats DP!
after me being so happy yesterday about my increase in bowel movements i ended up having really bad dia-woowoo earlier! then i slightly panicked that it was my "special poo" but all is fine apart from some painful braxton hicks!
argh the breastfeeding debate really gets my goat. at the end of the day all mothers are going to do what they feel is best for their child. and Gisele what would she know. grr she'll probs be one of those ones with a 24/7 nanny who then just pops back into her size 0 jeans and looks fab all the time.
to be honest though breastfeeding hasnt been mentioned to me by the midwives they just gave me a book and a DVD. no-one is pressurising me either, ive just said to myself il give it a go. ive bought bottles etc as i dont really think il stick at it. fair play to anyone who does do it though because im sure its not easy and would require a hell of a lot of determination those first few weeks.
labour vibes for kitkat0
