    Amusingly, a male friend of mine for a number of years, once he heard I was single, bravely offered himself to me for this very task :eek::eek:

    Awkward..........much :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Wait till you get to the end and see if you fancy taking him up on it lol... Actually, when I was pg with DD1 and on my own, a friend of a friend tried chatting me up with the line "a lot of men find pregnant women attractive..." As his lazy eye looked over my shoulder... :eek:

    Breastmilk for money was all fine until I read this statement from her partner! :eek:
    Now there's a money making scheme... I wonder which website she advertised on ;)
    A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
    Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hi all

    I have phoned in sick, hate doing that even if I'm really feeling ill I feel like I'm lying! I'm planning a quiet day with my feet up, though I do need to go and get DH a birthday card for tomorrow and am collecting netmums stuff at lunchtime. Was meant to be working from home so I'd arranged a couple of things, also have Tesco order coming 2-4pm. I should really get something else for DH's birthday too. I got him a set of books he wanted but he had them ages ago, have got a DVD for something to open but nothing else. He's not really into birthdays and just says they're a reminder of being one year nearer the grave :rotfl:

    We're getting the new car this week :j :j

    We've gone for a Fiat Ugly :rotfl: Though not that exact one. Means I have to go through with learning manual though *sigh* But am very excited :T

    Delain, i hope you can help, we were (well oh actually) looking at that car, but i said no as i was unsure of the boot space and the rear seats. Do the rear seats split, so you can have 2 up 1 down?
    Is the boot space big enough for a large buggy and a couple of suitcases?
    I'd prefer one of these as they are so much cheaper than zafira's and espace's, i'd rather keep some of my savings for a rainy day than spend it all on a car, which will get scratched up due to the lovely area we live in.

    Nice :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    TBH I am craving comfort and cuddles, familiarity not brand new humpy bumpy time with someone I don't know...in that way :D Bleedin ironic though, had a big ol' crush on him when we were both taken :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Congrats Dear Pru, thrilled you got the birth you wanted :D

    I looked at Zafira's but decided against it because the back seats looked so flimsy, that and the fact that they seem quite expensive for what they are. Also they're not known for reliability.

    The Espace, can't really comment on, didn't really look at them as OH isn't keen on renaults.

    The Galaxy/sharan/alhambra mk1 shape looks a bit dated now, plus when you have all 7 seats in you have no boot. The seats are very heavy to lift in and out too. We had a 2.3l petrol auto galaxy and seemed to live at the petrol pump. Sold it because we couldn't afford to run it and because it was really sluggish because it was so heavy. The insurance in it was £1,300 from a no frills company :eek: You can get VR6 etc versions but the fuel costs on those would be even worse.

    The Fiat boot looks quite big, we're picking ours up on friday, when we've got it I'll gladly do some measurements for you and have a play and see what the seats do! I'm not sure if they fold down, but I think they push forward to allow more boot space, and if you've got littlies in the back they don't need loads of leg room. Like I said we haven't got it yet so I'm not sure. You could always ask one of the ebay sellers!

    I'll also be putting our buggy and carrycot in it to see how easy it is to get in and out (Its a jane slalom pro) which should give you a practical idea. Might even take some pictures too.

    I know it's a bit funny looking but so am I so expect no one will be surprised to see me tootling about in it :rotfl:

    Thanks Delain, your buggy sounds like mine.

    We have a fiat stilo at the moment, and its fairly cheap to run. I think going for one of the larger mpv's would financially kill us, with extra petrol tax and insurance. Would you let me know how you get on when yours arrives?
    Thanks again xx

    That's OK, OH is driving up and towing at back from Doncaster due to the lack of MOT (we're on the South coast!) so it will be Saturday probably before I get to have a play with it :D

    We've got a volvo estate at the moment, another petrol auto so our fuel costs should go down with this one. Apparently the diesel one has the best fuel economy, and might have lower tax if it's post-2001. The one we're getting is on the 'old' tax system.

    My friend has one of those cars delain and they like it.

    I'd love to have no car, but it is useful occasionally and as we'd not get anything for it and the running costs are low we keep hold of it. We park about 5 mins away at the in laws and so often it's just as easier to hop on a bus as we're on 3 main bus routes.

    Having said that I'm popping out soon in the car, have managed to combine 2 netmums pickups and will go and get DH a present first and pick up some cash too. Guess I should shower and go really. I just want to hibernate but it's silly to cancel things when I am at home.
