Thanks all
just been to MW, had a lovely full examination Inc internal  ewww it was horrid! Apparently I'm in early stages of labour but baby could come anytime between now and my due date. Hope it's sooner rather than later as I don't want this pain for 2 weeks! She also told me baby is in an awkward position for labour and that I need to try move the baby, it's so wedged in there I can't see it moving now!
Rach: don't worry about your work, if your not feeling right put yourself 1st and go home and rest. Ignor colleagues I kept getting !!!!!y comments off male staff and it really annoyed me.
Thanks Cafc that's sweet of youhope you and Landen are ok. Thanks for your stairs tip, we have a terrible staircase I'm dreading using with the baby.

Is baby back to back Kitkat?
I've heard that can make labour more painfulNot sure how you could persuade baby to move though!

Baby has it's spine on my right side, head down with bum in front of ribs and legs on left side. I thought this wasn't a bad position but apparently it needs to be on opposite side, no chance now though!
I'm loving relaxing at homeno work woooooooooo!

KK~my baby is lying in a similar way i think to you and my midwife said it was very easy for the baby to turn back to back and if i got any backache she said to get on all fours on the floor and rock side to side so baby would move position, dont know if it would help though
No signs of labour for me im gutted0 -

B8**er! Mine is that way too - but I still have just under 8 weeks to go so hopefully it'll shift.Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
Could you not try holding a bag of frozen peas on your bump where baby's back is, in the hope that they will move to avoid the cold? I'm sure i read that somewhere. I could be wrong, feel free to correct me.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

Still at work, but leaving soon. Think I will take tomorrow off to sleep if i don't feel better though.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
kk i think thats they way this baby is lying aswell! you never know bubs could do a spectacular turn for u *fingers crossed* this will sound stupid - but i always thought as long as the head was facing downwards that was a good position didnt realise they had to be a certain side etc.
i have decided today that i am no longer worried about birth or what will happen. this baby is coming out no matter if its from my foof or out the sunroof, so there is no point in worrying because its going to happen. im trying to give myself a positve mental attitude0 -
I never knew that about the back being on the right i'm sure that is how mine is laying too i can feel her bum at the top right and legs and arms always seem to protrude from the left. Looks like spending time on all fours again for me too wonderful :-(
Dream thats the best thing to do chick Keep thinking positive after all baby has to come out one way or another. I was frightened to death with 1 & 2 and an awfull time but with no3 i decided it was time to take control of myself and although things didnt go exactly to plan it was by far the best birth out of all of them. If you panic it just makes you tense which makes everything feel 10 x more painfull. Just remember your body is pre programmed to give birth it knows what it is doing even if you dont so trust in your natural abilities :-):jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0
