Kitkat If your still with us my advice would be, don't have a bath !!! I'm still here, phone the labour ward yesterday, they advised me to have a bath and everything stopped. I'm gutted after 12 hours of on off pain I'm back to square one !!! I know others have warned about baths stopping everything before but I thought the midwife knows best - I should have listened to pigpen !!!Busy mum of 3, so if my posts don't make sense or ask a silly question be patient:rotfl:0

The size of me already I'd be surprised if I can even get in my bath by that point :rotfl:there certainly wouldn't be room for much water
I've heard a few times about baths stopping everything. I've never gone into labour on my own though to test it out. Don't think I would have a bath though.
I went on Tesco website yesterday and ordered lots of sheets and 2 blankets on the 3 for 2I've got a cot bed (yes, from day 1, I know baby will look a bit lost!) but I ordered the smallest blanket size, I remember from DD1 that when you tuck them in 'feet to foot' if you have cot bed blankets you end up with a huge lump at the bottom of the cot, at least this way they will tuck in nicely when she's tiny
Haven't told my mum about the sudden urge to buy lots of baby things, she'll get worried :rotfl:
Well we're off in a mo to get the big monsters their lunchboxes for back to school, Hope things start again for the ladies that want them to :T:TMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

congrats to durham girl. hope he gets bigger and stronger quickly, so you can have him home. Congrats to anyone I've missed as well. Kit Kat you can't be in labour for the simple reason, you're due less than a fortnight before me, which means it could be me shortly and that's scary!!!!
Pig Pen, how are you doing now?0 -

Morning all, thanks for msgs
I'm still here! No baby yet! Pains been constant all through night until this morning where it eased for few mins. Sorry if tmi: duno if I quite had the much anticipated 'special poo' but I have been to the loo 3 times for no2 which OH keeps saying is a good sign! MW told me that apparently my body is going into labour but my uterus is irritated so isn't going through it properly, hence starting and stopping. She was v concerned about lack of baby movements and I'll be rushed off to big hosp if they think I've not had enough for a possible section which I wana avoid. She advised me to take a bath which I wasn't going to but OH insisted and I swear it's made the pain worse. Also taking painkillers. Feel incredibly sick
so much for working today! Might get OH to drive me later and I can sort work for rest of week as it's bothering me!
