Thanks Xmas :) its nice to hear people say I dont look so huge as OH thinks I do, when I walk past him he pretends the earth is shaking and keeps calling me fatty! I am dreading the state of my belly after pregnancy, I can see that is isnt going to bounce back to its old self! And the stretchies are getting me down, theres not many of them but the ones I have are HUGE bright red ones that look like I have been slashed with a chainsaw! (sorry nice vision for you there!!) its kinda dis-heartening to think I cant even wear a bikini again :( but I will have a baby to make up for it :)

evening all, I am fed up so am now sitting down with galaxy chocolate and my left foot up on a chair as it is so swollen I am sure it feels like it is going to pop! :( its switched from being the right foot that got really swollen to the left foot now. And bubs has been doing some painful movements today as well.

I have never worn a bikini lol, not my thing at all really and I have old horrible stretch marks I wouldn't dare to show off at all. :)

Don im with you on the bikini thing best ive ever manged to feel comfortable in other than a swimsuit is a tankini.

Kitkat i wouldnt worry to much your tummy still looks nice and pert so should go back pretty well my friend has had 4 kids and still swans about with a flat tummy and no stretchies in a bikini the COW!!! lol

Well i have done the dreaded deed and packed my hospital bag incase of emergency ive put the minimum possible init as if i have to go in i'm planning on being out ASAP. If i have to stay OH is pretty good and will be able to bring other stuff to me if needed. Just thought i had better put a baby blanket in just in case its a bit nippy when we come out. Roll on wednesday thats my safe day for a home birth DD's room is being cleared and pool put in place tomorrow i just need to get a shower curtain as sil never sent mine back (any ideas where i can get one really cheap?) grrrr and some of those rubber duckies that have little lights in them and ive got to steralise the thermometer in the fish tank so it can be used in the pool. The one they sent with the pool is a battery powered thing for placing under the arm and is useless for the pool temp i really dont know what they were thinking.

Thanks Xmas and Dream :) as I said I do feel huge but its prolly just me making a fuss.. I am pregnant afterall!! I am not hugely into bikinis but its nice to be able to wear one, although I wud never confidently strut around in one!!! Its more for just lazing about on the beach mind you I am sure I will be busy playing in the sand on our next hol with having a LO :)

Right... here goes my stupid question.. how can you tell if your defo in labour?? I have been having BH, but the contractions I had last night were more regular and painful, like period pain in my belly and back. Then they died down after couple of hours. Tonight same thing. It started about 2-3 hours ago I think and it getting worse. I havent timed them as it almost seems fairly constant, then eases, then starts again. Horrible achey period type pain, painful back, solid bump and bubs is fairly quiet. I can walk/ talk fine just find my belly and back painful. No loss of plug or water. I have just had a shower that eases that back pain a little but when I got out it seemed more painful. Any ideas?!?!

    Hi all
Im completely new to this forum, but having a read through and its been so so useful!! Im 32 weeks pregnant and finishing work in 2 weeks time and need to try and get baby stuff sorted. I thought this site may be useful as i start buying all the bits and pieces i need!!
This is my first due on 27/9/10 and im having an eventful pregnancy so far, Morning sickness until 18 weeks, diagnosed with SPD at 20 weeks, been on crutches coz of severe pelvic pain and havent slept for more that 2 hours at a time for the last 2 weeks, and for the last 4 days my morning sickness seems to have come back!! - is this normal??

looking forward to lots of baby talk xx

Kitkat I dont think you can describe the difference between BH and the real thing you just know that they are and to be honest the pains your getting along with the backache would set my alarm bells ringing for me but everyone is different. I had this happen for days before labour eventually set in with bubs properly, so fingers crossed your off the starting blocks and you dont have to put up with it to long like i did :-) xx

Kitkat, I would wait until either your waters go, or the pain gets very close together and you can't talk through it... Then I would assume it's labour... In the mean time, take some paracetamol and do all you can to make yourself comfortable... :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
