I am glad my OH is at work, am really not happy with him today so its good he is out of the house for another hour at least. He is in the bad books.

I am at the same stage as you in the ticker thingy BudgetBlonde - just two days difference. Its scary to see it counted in days rather than thinking I have 8/9 weeks to go still.

Anyway, I am watching How to Look Good Naked at the moment and then am going up to bed with a book before OH gets home.

Hi everyone, just ordered a strep b test for my peace of mind, I'd never heard of it with my first son but i don't want to take any chances!

Can anyone recommend a decent tens machine? God knows I'll be shouting for a general anaesthetic from the sounds of it! Bbay is 5lb8 at 32weeks (today), if she carries on the way she's going she could be well over 10lb, eek! Wanting to avoid an epidural unless medically necessary, it wasn't too bad with my first but I want to be home asap this time. x

Just to let you know I had my 12 week scan yesterday. Everythings fine, due date still 5th Feb 2011.
DH is getting annoyed with me because Im constantly grinning, when he asks why I just gush, "theres a baby in my tummy" :D:D:D

I'm hoping I'll go sometime this week, I'm 37 weeks today and my last was almost 2 weeks early, I've had a show, lots of back pain and every evening I get what seems like the start of contractions then the just die off but now I'm starting to get them throughout the day also my constipation has miraclously been cured
but I'm holding out for the special poo !!!!

Thanks for your reply re liver function tests. The very same hospital scared the life out of me in February before I was pregnant telling me that my liver function tests were high and to get a GP appointment ASAP. I duly did only to be told the readings are not that high, he wasn't prepared to repeat the bloods and was sent on my merry way. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that its just something like this again. They are probably being careful with the existing problems I have already got.

As for the gallbladder, I had mine whipped out at the tender age of 22 and when I saw the GP in February I was told that I'm probably storing too much bile in my liver causing the high readings but I don't think too much bile in the liver/blood is good for bubbs so this is probably why they have called me over for further investigations.

I could be doing without it though but these things are sent to try us!!

Re: birthdays; OH is January, mine is May and baby August

Had my health visitor come today. She said she was surprised but impressed I was still working and said as I am so active it should help with the labour, I hope so!

Re: weight gain, at 34 weeks I had gained 6lbs. It's this low due to terrible sickness and the weight I lost. I think I'm making up for it now, can't stop eating! At 36 weeks my baby weighed 6 lbs 8 so I think they will be a fattie!!

Kitkat are you doing the extra week at work? According to my new growth chart babs is now 6lb 10oz at 35wks i think bubs was around the same and he was 8lb 13oz born so im expecting about the same :-)

How do you know how heavy the baby is? I have fundal measurements but my mw hasn't been filling in the chart thing in my notes - is there a way to work it out?

Budget do you know what your measurements were if so plot the last one and down the right hand side of the chart it gives weights in grams which you can then convert :-)
