hibbi - did you tell the GP receptionist that you're pg? They may also have a nurse who can prescribe at the practice. I'd make a fuss as they will suddenly fit you in then!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

If the pain is really that bad, ring your local maternity ward and insist that someone sees you to check your wee and have a feel of everything to make sure it's nothing serious.
{hugs}
Why does no-one tell us these babies put us through so much before they're even born?!Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -

Hibbi that defiantely sounds like what my UTI infection did. as others have said you'll prob need an antibiotic. i also drank cranberry juice when i had mine and it really helped soothe the pain and urgency to pee feeling! hope u feel better. oh also my mum couldnt get an appointment with the doc the other week and she thought she had an urine infection but she was able to speak to doc on the phone and he done her out a prescription based on her symptoms
with these braxton hicks being so sore its quiet scary to think how sore REAL contractions will be. although i suppose with the real ones it means your closer to meeting bubs, these "fake" ones are just to annoy the blimming hell out of us!
i just ate a whole bag of toffe bon bons over the past few hours in work and now i feel sick0 -
Thanks everyone,
I am 24w5d. Ive had infections before but the pain has never been this bad. I don't have a specfic midwife it seems to be that where I am you just get whoever to see you. Ive never had the same one twice.
All I can say is if this is just an infection how the hell am I going to cope with Labour???!!!
It will harden you up for labour pains
I had an bladder infection whilst stuck on the Rocky Mountaineer Train in Canada on my honeymoon, pain was so bad I had to be taken off it by ambulance (very embarassing) so I feel your pain.
Hassle your doctors surgery, do a bit of pregnancy crying.0 -
