Baby keeps engaging then shifting about again - the handy thing with having a very hiccupy baby is I can always tell whch way up it is :rotfl:
Smartie - your angel (:p) is due on my birthday - don't think you'll get that far though by the sounds of things :D
DEVIL child (:p) always has hiccups! On the monitor in hospital the other day we heard them nice and clear:rotfl:
In fact at this exact moment I can feel the hiccups.... right down in my foof!!!!:eek::eek::rotfl:One big hiccup and he'll be shooting right out!!!!:D
If he/she is born on your bday you can share a cake;) It'll be funny if I end up going weeks overdue!!!BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

it feels like my whole stomach is getting really hard and tight and it aches really bad when it happens. dont think im in actual labour so it must be braxton hicks, i tell you what its bloody painful when it happens!! especially accompanied with the massive pressure on my foof at the moment!!
budget the only reason im going is beacuse i wanted to do the tour of the delivery suite etc, im soooo nosey, but that isnt until next week. thats really nice of your mw to do that for you hopefully it will help you with your fears! im not needle phobic i can have injections no problem, but when it comes to getting blood taken im a wimp! i dont know what the difference is but i get on like a big baby over it! plus my OH thinks its hilarious when really its not!
Yep, sounds like BH. I explained it to OH as like someone pulling from behind and stretching my stomach until it felt like it would rip, and yes my bump goes rock solid for a few seconds (like, 20 seconds or so?) Don't worry, real ones are much worse apparently!:lipsrseal:lipsrseal
Anything medical I hate, even having my bp taken makes me sweat. Guess I need to get over that!Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -

Infection hun:(
You'll prob need antibiotics.
I've had awful infections all through this pregnancy and it aint pleasant I'm afraid.
I find sitting in a bath helps a little bit.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Sounds like it could be a UTI - urinary tract infection. Ring GP again and ask to be seen again. They are common in pregnancy.I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Hibbi, I'm not an expert but it could be your ligaments stretching. How many weeks are you? Pain in the "bits" and in your bottom are quite common it's the pressure/ weight of baby and all that fluid.
If baby is moving OK and you're not bleeding or losing any fluids it's probably all OK but are you able to ring your local triage at the mat unit? Or your mw?
Just read the other posts: If it was an infection would it not be more difficult to pee? Mine always is. Either way, the answer is ring again! Or try NHS helpline?Bellymonkey due 25/09/10 :j0 -
My goodness just taken me half an hour to catch up, you girlies and two blokies have been busy.
Many congrats on the birth of baby Freya, can't wait to see photos.
I still have high blood pressure so having to have weekly checks with the MW's, they have all been lovely, very calm and reassuring.
Going for my growth scan next Friday nervous that baby not growing properly but excited about seeing him/her again, and maybe just maybe will confirm the flavour for us.
Apart from being in my 28 degree office, fat feet and fingers, baby kicking me in the ribs, heartburn in the middle of the night, walking up stairs is like climbing a mountain I feel GREAT lol.
4 weeks and 2 days left at work, Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee0 -

Can you get an appoinment with your midwife at all? Then if there is a problem they will probably fast track you to docs or hospital.
Good luck, hope the pain goes soon0 -
Hibbi, I had antibiotics recently for UTI and those were all the symptoms I had. Definitely get back on to your doctor and ask for a call back or at least to see a practice nurse. Or if you do have a contact number - try calling your Midwife. If you can't see anyone at your own doctors, call your hospital and ask to be seen asap as they should hopefully have a clinic there that you can be seen at and get a prescription. Meanwhile, I know you are having to pee loads anyway but drink as much water as you can to try and flush your system out.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Thanks everyone,
I am 24w5d. Ive had infections before but the pain has never been this bad. I don't have a specfic midwife it seems to be that where I am you just get whoever to see you. Ive never had the same one twice.
All I can say is if this is just an infection how the hell am I going to cope with Labour???!!!:j Mummy to little Poppy June :j0
