I think if current partner moaned 24/7 for 9 months, she'd still be a million times adoreable than the witches i've had relationships with before :o

Did we used to go out?? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::eek:

Only kidding. We all have our moments I'm sure. My OH is so patient with my hormones these days although I'm not sure what he means when he says "you're being no more unreasonable than usual" :o;)

Speaking of hormonal rages, went to see my beautiful extension yesterday which is coming along nicely and nearly finished. The new bathroom looks gorgeous - except one of the builders has done a poo in my nice new toilet :mad::mad::eek::eek::eek:
Now, I know we all have to go but I'm really funny about stuff like that and now I feel it's spoiled. I know that makes no sense, but it has really cheesed me off. OH knows what I'm like and was trying to not let me see it was all skiddy :naughty::(

I've given up moaning. I was having a right old moan at OH a year or so ago and when I'd finished and waited for him to say something... HE SNORED :eek: He'd actually fallen asleep mid whinge :rotfl:

That's really funny - made me do one of those spitty splutters over the keyboard!

Anyway, I'm 37 weeks today!!!!!!!:dance::dance::dance::dance::dance: This means I can have my homebirth (er, except house a tip, I've not ordered the birth pool, still haven't finished getting last bits and pieces. Apart from that though).

Sorry I hardly ever post, I just don't feel I've got a right lot to say really. I'm pregnant, I have a great big belly and am expecting to give birth in the next month. That's it! :D

Baby keeps engaging then shifting about again - the handy thing with having a very hiccupy baby is I can always tell whch way up it is :rotfl: Fatso seems to have stabilised my pelvis which has worked wonders for the SPD too so I actually feel better now than I did at 27 weeks.

Can I take it Pigpen hasn't been on this morning? Dare we hope she's got some medical attention? I must admit to being quite cross last night when I was lurking ...

Cot sheets: was gonna get some in the Asda event yesterday but they didn't have any. Looked at Mothercare online and they were super expensive. Where's good and cheap for a decent set? Otherwise I'll just get some material from the market and make them myself.

Also, speaking of Mothercare, anyone know how I can get some money off a car seat? Wanted to go into the shop to buy though.

Smartie - your angel (:p) is due on my birthday - don't think you'll get that far though by the sounds of things :D

Nice to find someone who is having a home birth - it's still something I would like but OH won't let me. Is this your first baby and first homebirth?

Quick question for those on babe 3 or more:

How similar are labours, as in is my labour likely to start in the same way and feel the same as for DS? I didn't have a show and although my waters must have broken it was a total non-event and couldn't put my finger on when it actually happened.

Also, is the general pattern of first babe being smallest then they get bigger generally true? DS was 8lb 15oz so mw has advised me not to bother with newborn clothes but the 0-3s look massive!

No, babe 2. It's not actually OH's choice you know - yes I know you'll need his support and this isn't a time for fighting but it's your labour, your pain, you have to do what makes you feel best

The third labour often resembles the first.. the second is usually vastly different.. and quicker than first.

And no they don't necessarily get bigger with each one.. my 3rd would have been my heaviest had they all been born at term.. this one is longest

moneysaver i think im going to have a bath tonight to see what way bubs reacts i havent had one since before i was pregnant( ive showered though :rotfl:)

have my first antenatal class tonight and im excited although im v.tired so hoping i dont fall asleep! everyone says they are boring but im so nosey i have to go incase i miss anything!

    the leaflet says tonight covers:

    midwife
    • labour + delivery
    • signs of labour
    • functions of labour
    • stages of labour
    • when to come to hospital
    • normal delivery
    physiotherapist
    • advice re aches pains, minor complaitns of pregnancy
    • safe exercise in pregnancy
    • pelvic floor muscle exercises
    • relaxation

Mine seems to like the water and tries to dip under :)

Thanks for posting the antenatal stuff - looks like you'll be covering a lot. Our first one is this saturday for a tour of the maternity ward and birthing suites. I don't want to go, I'm in the Pigpen camp when it comes to being a fan of hospitals and doctors in general. I have conceded, however, to have this first one in the birthing centre "just in case" and because OH felt so strongly about it and because I have strep B. I want to have a waterbirth as well so I suppose it will be good to discuss options.

My mw has also been quite helpful today and made a referal for an anesthetist (sp?) to come and talk me through options as I'm horrendously needle phobic.
