No I'm going to Craigavon. Haven't heard that any maternity unit in NI is particularly bad (only that Lagan Valley only do epidurals 9 to 5 Mon to Fri:eek:)0 -
OMG imagine having 9-5 epidurals, thats terrible! it reminds me of my friends sis. she was in labour and asked for an epidural it was around midnight, and the midwife said - the anethestist is sleeping at the moment do you really want us to have to wake him!?! she said she wanted to kill the midwife there and then! :rotfl:0

sharkey -definitely phone them. The ante natal dept should be able to help. It might just be that they couldn't see everything they needed to as bean was not in the right place, but it's no good worrying for 2 weeks. Just call and say it wasn't properly explained and you need an explanation. Let us know how it goes. x
I call the scan department that done my scan yesterday and they said that the reason I was to go back in 2 weeks time when I am 13 weeks so that they can get all the measurements and give me my EDD. So panic over!! thanks for the replies. x[/COLOR] Starting the new year in a good way cooking baby sharkeybabe no2:j:j0 -

March/April sounds a good time to have a baby. Never thought about it before.
GP's this evening for informing them of pregnancy. Not sure what will happen, but we'll see.
April babies are great!
You don't have to sweat buckets all Summer (or your OH won't!) and then you have a baby you can dress in lovely little rompers and summer things to go out in instead of in so many layers they look a bit like a starfish :rotfl:
Plus when they start moving in earnest (around one, though my 2 had delays) they can toddle about on the grass outside.
DD1 was an August baby but we had a really warm Autumn that year so didn't get the starfish effect too badly!
ETA: Glad to hear it's ok Sharkey. I make a pain in the butt of myself with things like that, you'd think I was 4.

that's great sharkey! As you say nothing to worry about. it's such a worrying time every little thing you think there must be something wrong!
Cot mattress just came from kiddicare. Think it's ok though bit thinner than i thought (just under 4") but I think I was thinking it would be like an adult mattress! It's this one from Kiddicare.
Oooh, I'm so paranoid! I am terrible at making decisions, nearly bought one off amazon but didn't and now I'm wondering if i did the right thing.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -

OH was an April baby....but I didn't know her then :rotfl:
Didn't look at it like that, but she'll pregnant through winter, so will have to keep her expecially warm.0 -
You want your baby to be born on Friday 13th? :rotfl:
I didn't remember that off the top of my head by the way, it's only because we have something on that day and I wrote it up thinking 'Oh no friday 13th' lol
Yep. Well my thought is i'm quite an unlucky person so if the child is born 13th she might have luck in a backwards way :rotfl:I want devil child to be born on Friday the 13th;):D:jSeriously I do:o
I'll be drinking pints of RLT, having endless sex, hot curries and bouncing on my ball the day before!!:rotfl:
Oh very much the same. Poor OH hasn't been getting much lately as I just don't feel like it, so i'll be jumping him on the 12th. He won't know what's hit him.
Knowing my luck I'll go into labour either on the 12th and give birth at 11.55pm or i'll go into labour on the 13th and she'll be born 00.01am 14th. :rotfl:What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine..0 -
Happy days sharkey, you will be amazed at the difference in the scans aswell as things devlop so quickly at that stage, my scan was at 13 weeks and i couldnt believe bubs was like a "proper" baby in there much better than the blobs id seen a few weeks before!!0

I'm sorry for your losses and here's hoping you a happy and healthy * months [I forget how far along you are
]
My DD2 is 8 in 6 days and she has made her self special by the fact she will be the only one who will be a big sister AND a little sister - its great how their minds work!
Tigtag02, I'm currently almost 13 weeks so LO will be due 5th February but I will induced between 38-40 weeks due to my past history and that's if it continues to grow as it should, if not it might be sooner
I will be having this one at Birmingham Womens Hospital like I did my DD which is about 30 miles away from home but worth every mile! I lost complete confidence in my local hospital after my second loss. It caused a of a faff when I went to get booked in with mw as she had already written all of my forms out with local hospital's details. Oh well, she shouldn't of have assumed!! LOL
DD thinks she is naming baby, but she keeps coming up with rather random names like Terry & Brian! LOL, told her I'm having a baby not a rugby player!Virtual Sealed Pot 2013 #41 - £69.27OJ born 25/01/110 -
