How is everyone this morning? My iPod app says I have 4 weeks and 1 day let...also baby is the size of a large cantaloupe :rotfl:

Have fun smartie. At least it's not raining today so you won't get wet going in :)

Bless the OH. He said to me last night he thinks that we should get the car seat in the boot just incase. There's 4 weeks left!! I really think he's excited though which is nice. But I do think he's making up for his parents lack of interest so I don't feel as bad bless him. Can anyone else tell that I'm all loved up this morning? :o

    :) that's lovely xmas

My DH is being quite sweet at the moment, he doesn't get excited as such but he keeps talking about how he'll miss me and the baby when he has to go back to work etc.

I now feel completely rotten again, just overwhelming tiredness like a weight is on me. :( I really need to get some work done today too or my boss is going to start asking questions. Might go for a shower now and then see if I can get on for a bit, I have a project to write a big document for the council which boss wants me to have pretty much done on my home days by the time I finish.

sir monster don't want to text you in case you're sleeping in but my delivery should be here by 12.15 so how about we meet at about 12.30/12.45? - I want to nip to boots too before I go to mw. let me know where's the best for you.

Merfe at least it should be cooling down a little by then so the john wayne waddle wont feel quite so bad. Why wont they open the side gate that seems silly to me?

Rach my OH cried the first time he had to go back to work after bubs was born i felt so sorry for him. He misses out on quite a bit though with him not living here permantley and he is such a good dad I will be glad once his work situation is settled properly. He has a new site closer to here now but they think it will only last a couple of months so he could be shipped off closer to rugby again in which case it isnt worth the hassle of him moving in permanantly. Once he has a proper site we can sort everything out and by xmas he will have his licence back so it wont matter where he works he will be able to commute. Its such a strange situation to be in people often wonder how we manage to keep things going so well with me only seeing him 3 nights out of 9 the time we have is precious and i so want him here all the time. I even got to the stage a few weeks back where i was begging him to jack in work and move in we would manage but for the sake of a few weeks he was right we may as well ride it out so he can earn the extra cash and get his redundancy if thats the case then we can do things properly :-(

xmas it must be so hard, hopefully the end is in sight now! DH and I found it difficult enough living apart until we got married, even more complicated with kids involved. My DH is v lucky with his job as they are very relaxed and he works relatively short hours, they are more bothered about the work getting done (and DH is v good and v fast) than about being there on the dot every day. Once bubs is here he will be able to work from home on alternate fridays (he already has every other friday off). They don't want to lose him (he was looking for other work as he needs to move up to advance career a bit) and so he is taking on more responsibility and getting a new job/job title which will be good. Hopefully there will be a bit more money too. I know we are v lucky, although dh still hates finance and would do something completely different if he could start again.

Had a shower and feel a bit better.

Right, I really must get on!

    Morning ladies

Not a great nights sleep as bubs was very active last night, even gave me an almighty wack in the stomach that felt like he winded me. His kicks are def getting painful now. So took me a while to get to sleep and woke up at 5:30 kicking away again - so lucky can have a lie in. I am dreading getting up early next week but is only 10 more days!!

CL I got my moses basket matress from TK Maxx but didn't know they did cot matresses, will have a look to today.

Rach 12:30/12:45 is fine by me!

great stuff, do you fancy starbucks/nero or an egg & bacon sandwich type lunch? I don't really have any preference! If we go for 12.45 I can jump on the bus up the high st once delivery has come and do boots first.

xmas they only open it at 8:30 and 3pm, they won't open it any other time even if you need to come in for something like sports day last week or when they have school discos, its really annoying. I have to walk past another side gate before I get to the front of the school. The school used to be in special measures and was a very bad school, front of it is in a bit of a rough area and I was really upset when DD got in - it was not on my list but she has thrived there and its more recent ofsted is all number 2s so its improved alot. When she went last year there were spare spaces left but this year there is a waiting list. DS is still the only one going from his preschool and the mums there still bad mouth the school despite the fact its now the school attached to the preschool that is in special measures.

Thanks for the discount code rach - I ordered my steriliser, it was the package with the breast pump in. Don't know if its any good but willing to give it a try. I already have some bottles so didn't need the package with loads of bottles in. First new thing I've bought for baby eek, might start getting excited now.

he has 4 weeks of half days, then 2 weeks when he stays for lunch then he is full time

Merfe, count me in for this too! DS1 starts reception class 1st week in September and I will be 37 weeks by then. but for his first four weeks, they gave me an afternoon session for him so at least if I am totally tired, I can still potentially (maybe!) get a sort of lie in. But if no lie in, then it gives me the morning to get him all organised and ready to go, then jump in the car with him & ds2 + big bump and drive him off to school.

Not looking forward to either the journeys or letting him go off to big school though...

We got a Zafira too lol! We travel a lot to visit family between Wales/Scotland and its a minimum five hour journey each way so it was great to get a car with loads of space and not have to be using the roof box when we go. :)
