thanks :j
well from about 9 weeks i have been convinced he was a boy. no idea why though! i don't go in for the superstitions or anything like that. weird, right?
must have been maternal instinct! I had no clue, lol. I switched every week saying it was a boy then a girl. Just covering all my bases!:j Little Star due 15.11.10 :j0 -
Was that the one with the 2 14 year olds? We watched some of that. The silly cow who was refusing to have anything second hand despite having no money, a boyfriend with no money and a mother who also had no money needed a serious wake up call!
Lovely bump, btwGood luck with the scan later.
Yes it was honey I agree the one girl who was refusing the 2nd hand stuff really had no idea at all. I think the other one who's boyfriend had died was very mature and a star .
Thanks for the good luckIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Morning all
lovely bump tinkwings and good luck for your scan latersorry to hear your still suffering pigpen, hope u manage to feel a bit better today.
Can I ask - when did everyone start getting big things like nursery furniture/pram? I ordered my nursery stuff yesterday and the girl in the shop seemed surprised that I was only 23 weeks! Lol I do like to be organised and delivery will take up to 6 weeks!:j Little Star due 15.11.10 :j0 -

morning all
tinks good luck with the scan, hope it all goes well. Our NHS 20 week scan was absolutely brill actually, despite the sonographer running into her lunch break! hope yours is just as exciting
got a pretty busy day for me today. 38 week MW appt, then mtg up with NCT girls (and one baby), then school do with DH. and gotta make some cookies before MW appt.
we got our pram pretty early, think i was about 22 weeks. It has just been sat there for ages, but on the other hand some babies are early so best to be prepared! a girl i know had hers a week early and only had the nursery furniture delivered the day before it was born. which would stress me out!
just been looking at money, this was our first month on our new "baby budget" which is trying to just live off DH's salary as we're planning for me not to go back to work. We don't seem to have done that well this month! but i suppose can't expect us to do it straight away and go cold turkey. just hope we can get used to it. it's definitely doable but it just costs so much to just live sometimes - e.g. things broke in the house and immediately that's a £30 trip to B&Q!
have a good day all

I like to be organised too, so we ordered the pram at around 18 weeks. Should be here soon
We really started buying things after the 20 week scan though and have most things now at 26 weeks. I wanted to get as much sorted as possible while we're both still earning good wages, and then hopefully we can build up our savings a little more before I go off on maternity leave.
Sorted my maternity leave out with HR yesterday. As I also have holidays to use I'm going to finish on 24 September, take 11 days holiday and then maternity leave officially starts on 12 October. That gives me 9 1/2 weeks left to work :eek:You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. If you change the world, the world will change.0 -
Thanks ladies, i didn't think it was too early either. I was waiting until my 20 week scan and I think it's good to try and spread the cost out. Also when I see bargains it seems silly to wait. I got a tommee tippeee electric steriliser for £20 in morrisons a fee days ago. They also had the microwave ones for 10.99.
I know what u mean about the unexpected things DP, i find it quite easy to draw up a budget but when one unexpected thing comes up it throws it out for the month.
And 9 1/2 weeks bigbird - eeeek!:j Little Star due 15.11.10 :j0 -

First pregnancy, 7 years ago, I juuuuuuuust managed to hang on til 12 weeks, then I had pretty much got it all (except pram) by 13 weeks :rotfl::rotfl:
This time, I am 24 weeks but being induced at 37, so I have 13 weeks left, and I am doing ok-ish, really need to get some sort of checklist as I am sure I have missed some stuff. And I know the stuff I havn't got yet-moses basket, pram, nappies, LOL loads of stuff0 -
Hey all,
I have been lurking here for a while now, but thought I would introduce myself. I am 23 weeks tomorrow - due 18th November (3 days before my birthday!). Can someone update the list for me?
Have decided to have a surprise re the sex of my flump, but it is now moving around like crazy!
BTW I live in SE London - Greenwich - just wondered if anyone else is around here?
